I know something is wrong when I wake up, and I remember that in my sleep I could hear people. I remember feeling someone touch me which caused my skin to tingle, and when they touched me lips, my heart exploded with excitement for some unknown and annoying reason.

I know the people I heard, my brothers, my sisters, my parents, Laya, my best friends, and weirdly, Matt and Parker. The thing which surprises me is that I didn't ever hear my boyfriend, Tyler.

My eyes are heavy when I open them, they don't flutter open like they do in films, they slowly open and reveal a blinding light. I move my hand to stop the light from blinding me, then let my eyes adjust to the light. I then see where I am.

I am lying down on white hospital bed, and there are cables on me, one into my finger, one into my wrist and a couple connected to my stomach and chest. I can tell I haven't moved in a while because my body is numb, so I move my toes to get some circulation back into them, and move my body so it can go back to normal. To my left, on the bedside table, are some white roses. My favourite.

I rip off the cables, and wince when it stings, but I shrug it off. My hair is surprisingly clean and my body doesn't feel dirty. I know I'm in a hospital, and I just remember collapsing so I know that's the reason why I'm here. To my left is a machine, but I do not know what it is. My feet touch the floor, which is slightly cold, and I stand up slowly. At first, my legs wobble and I have to hold the bed for support, but then I get my balance back and I am taking steps towards the door.

My hand twists the doorknob and when I open it, I'm greeted by a gust of warm wind. I hear beeping noises, talking of doctors, and I see a clock.

11:48 am.

Underneath it is a big whiteboard with the patients' names on it. I spot mine in capitals including my age.

On the top right hand corner is the date, and I realise how long I've been asleep for.

The date I collapsed was the 25th of October, today it's the 27th of November.

My hand shakes slightly, and I look up. And there he is.

My nightmare. My torturer.

Joseph Hawkins.

My reaction is the same as it has always been when he wants to beat me, I scream and raise my fist. I hear the loud running footsteps of two or three people.

My brother, Parker Scott, and, of course, Matt Samson.

My heart warms when I see Matt, and I suddenly am filled with confusion.

"What the f*ck is Matt Samson doing here?! And where is my boyfriend?!" I shout. Their faces are shocked for a few seconds, and I'm not bothered for them to wait. My heart clenches as I storm in the opposite direction of the boys, determined to find out exactly why I had just woken up from a coma.

I see a doctor, and I yell, "Why am I here?!"

The poor doctor is startled, and he hurries over to me, his eyes almost bulging out of his sockets.

"Don't shout!" He scolds me, shouting at the same time.

"Stop shouting at me, then!" I yell back.

"I can call security! I can get you kicked out!" He snaps, and I feel my hand tightens into a fist.

"Well, you can't! I'm a patient here, if you can't see by this stupid frilly gown!" I scream at him.

"What is wrong with you?! Do you have problems, you attention-seeking b-"

I pull my fist back and throw a punch at the doctor. I expect a grunt of pain, but instead my fist lands in the palm of someone's hand. Not the doctor's.
