"I never knew it was so dark down here."
Lou was in his cell gazing up at the black ceiling, then he looked to his right at the black wall, then to the black floor. All he could see was darkness.

He was in the basement of the academy and there was nothing in it, not a bed, not a light of any sort not even a pillow and most importantly not a hairbrush. The only sort of thing was a smaller room entrance leading into what he could feel to be a bathroom, he touched around and felt a basin a toilet and a shower, well at least he could stay clean.

Lou didn't know where he went wrong, he was trying to find his place just like everyone else, and for a moment he thought he had found it, but then it was all taken from him and he was plunged into the darkness.

He breathed in slow and breathed out slower, he put his hand in front of his face but he couldn't see it, not even the outline. There were no windows down there and when the door was shut there was no openings at all, the only source of air was the ventilation in the ceiling, Lou tried countless times to reach it in hopes of escape but to no avail. He knew that once they closed that door they had no intention of opening it, they would be happy to leave him to rot.

How long had it bean since they put him in here? He didn't know, most of the time he didn't know if he was asleep or awake, he couldn't tell whether his eyes were closed or opened. He didn't feel too hungry so it couldn't have been that long, but then again if he was sleeping he wouldn't feel hungry.

All of these thoughts ran through his head, he covered his eyes with his hands and yelled "aahhhhh!" He felt utterly helpless, just then he heard a click, it was a very familiar click which he thought he would never hear again. It was the click of the door. The door slowly opened. Light leaked in after what seemed like forever, the person who walked in caught Lou by surprise, she would have been the last person on Lou's list of most probable to visit him. It was Mandy.

She stepped in holding a box of things, she almost dropped them all but then quickly caught them. Lou stood up, "what are you doing here" he said, sounding more intimidating than he intended. Mandy just smiled and replied, "i have come to give you your things."
Though Lou would never admit it, not even to himself, he was really thankful that Mandy had come, because along with her came light.
