I got off the school bus, still discombobulated from what happened between Travis and I in the janitors closet (that sounds so wrong) back at school. I walked over to the front door of my house, took my keys out from my bag and tried to unlock the door but it was already open.

I slowly opened the door in suspense, I didn't leave the door unlocked when I left this morning, so how did it get unlocked or who unlocked it. I made my way inside and quietly closed the door behind me.

I slowly walked up the stairs preparing myself to attack who ever was in the house. I didn't know I was gonna do that, but I was not about to get stolen and held for ransom. I know my parents ain't gon pay it. For many different reasons (not because they don't like me or anything).

I then heard a sound coming from down the stairs. Behind me.

"What are u doing? You look stupid.". I quickly turned around and threw my bag at the thief, I then jumped on him and started throwing some punches plus a few scratches.

Today was the day I was gonna prove to the world, that I am not to be messed with, I am a-

I was then cut of from my intense, inspirational thoughts."Jaylen stop!" He shouted. I than paused, took my hands of his face and realized that I was attacking my older brother, Jackson.

"Again, I'm so sorry, I didn't see that it was you." I apologized, for the sixth time as we both stood in the kitchen trying to find something to put on his bruises. "Oh no, it's nothing, just a few painful scratches and bruises here and there. Nothing to worry about." he admitted, sarcastically.

Jackson is my older brother who's currently in university studying law. We rareley ever see him, because he's always off at school, so today he decided to pay us a little surprise visit. And yes, he's intentions were fulfilled. He did surprise me, too surprising if you ask me.

We heard someone enter the door, but this time I kept my cool. No more throwing myself on people.

Jackson insisted on checking who it was, and a smile grew on his face when he saw it was my parents. They were so happy to see him and he was so happy to see them, therefore they showered each other with love. Wish I could say the same. They were so exited to see him that they completely forgot I was there. But I don't blame them, I mean he's been gone for months now.

My parents were always so proud of my brother and his achievements from a very young age and I was always just in his shadow, but I'm sure it's like that for most people who have older siblings.

They love the fact that he's studying law "and that he's doing something with his life", and it somehow makes me feel pressured, because I have no clue what I want to study.

But I'm sure that once I make my decision, they'll be just as proud. So let me stop stressing over this whole situation and at least be grateful.

Cause my family is whole again.

It was after school and it ended the same way as yesterday, Jazzmen left early and it was time for me to go and meet up with Travis.

Instead of taking the school bus i insisted on walking to the park were I was going to meet up with Travis. Whilst I was walking there I came up with some great ideas on how we could do the project.

I got to the park and it was empty. It was very quite than usual, I guess it was because today is a school day, but that was a good thing because we could focus and concentrate more without the distractions

I sat on the park picnic table bench thing and made sure it wasn't too far from the entrance so that Travis could spot me immediately. I waited for hours and hours and hours (not literally), but he didn't show up.

"let me just wait a little more" I whispered to myself, still having some sort of hope. I then realized that I was waiting to long and that he obviously wasn't coming anytime soon, so I stood up and left.

Why am I not surprised. This was all too good to be true. Travis is never coming. I guess he'll always just be the Travis I know and love. (Im being sarcastic. I don't love him. Eiew)

I stormed out the entrance with my arms folded and spoke angrily to myself, "see Jaylen that's what u get for believing in things that u know won't happen. I can't believe I waisted all my time waiting, I cannot believe I waisted my time on Travis ".

I started walking at a very fast pace because I was so upset, and whilst I was storming off, I felt myself hit against something hard and then fell to the ground with my butt first.

I looked up and I saw Travis. "Oh shoot! Are u okay?" He asked as he gave me his hand. "I apologize. I wasn't looking were I was going" he said.

"It's OK its my fault, I was the one storming off", I said, as I stood up, trying not to make him feel bad although it was really his fault. (It really wasn't his fault, I'm just really upset.)

"Where were you? Why are you so late? I was literally about to leave." I asked, a hint of disappointment starting to become visible on my face.

"I'm so sorry, I had detention. I promise I'll make up for this." He said sounding sincere. He was so... Real, and genuine, it was scaring me. He was literally a whole new Travis. A Travis that I could get used to.

We both walked back to the park and found a bench/table thing to sit on so we could talk about our project.

I told Travis my ideas and he came up with some good ideas as well. Surprisingly.

Everything was going better than I expected it to go, so I was happy but still kinda confused about how Travis was acting.

Maybe Travis is not some crazy psychopath and I was just over exaggerating. Maybe he is actually a nice person.

I said maybe.
