flashback 4: feelings

Travis and I were both sitting on the park bench/table thing. I explained everything that we were going to do for our project whilst writing notes and not really focusing or giving him eye contact.

"Okay, so that's the plan, right?" I asked, taking a giant breathe from all the talking, cause my explanation was quit long. Travis didn't answer, so I asked again. "Right?". Noticing that he wasn't answering back, I asked, "Travis are u even listening to me?" I said whilst making notes on what I just explained.

Travis still didn't answer, so I turned to look at him and ask again, but... he was asleep.

I took a deep breathe and placed my palm on my forehead "Is he serious?" I said to myself.

I got really upset and pushed him so that he could wake up. He then sat up and stretched his arms, "what's up?", he asked, not realising how upset I was.

"What's up!? What's up!? Are you serious!?" I said angrily. "OKay chill. why you so mad?" He asked with a amused look on his face. I started to pack away my things, realising how much time I wasted on him, "I'm mad because I thought you actually cared, but clearly you don't".

"Care about what?" He asked with a smirk on his face, and that made me so mad. "About the project you dum ass!!!!!!!!!!!" I said angrily and stormed off.

I felt even more upset with myself now, because I was so gullible and forgave him. Him treating this like a joke made me feel like such an idiot. Why would i belie or trust that someone like him could change.

Travis stood up from the bench and ran towards me, I guess he wanted to apologize but I didn't want to hear or see him, so I ran faster.

"Jaylen! stop! I wanna apologize, stop running! I just wanna say sorry!" He shouted, with hints of laughter in between. We probably looked really stupid, but all I could think of is getting away from him.

I looked behind me and realised that I had lost him, so I stopped running in order to catch my breathe. But little did i know that he hid behind a Large tree, to make it look as if I had lost him, so that I could stop running, giving him a better chance at catching me.

Clever.

"Oh, shoot!" I said with a small chuckle

Next thing I knew. I see him sprinting at a really rapid pace. I tried to run away from him once more, but unfortunately he caught me, making me burst with laughter.

He held both my arms firmly, making sure that I never break loose "Never ever run from me again." He said in a joking manner, whilst heavily breathing. "Cause I'll always catch you." He smirked, and we both began laughing.
