Nashville, TN - June 11, 2017

This was insane.

Honestly, how had this happened, again? One year, almost to the day, after Mollie had watched Sidney win the 2016 Stanley Cup she found herself doing the same thing only this time they were in Music City. The Penguins had pushed the Predators to the brink, and were up 2-0 with just three minutes left to go in the third period. Mollie was antsy, her toes tapped quickly on the concrete floor, she was nervous, but she also really really had to go pee.

"Whooo," Mollie exhaled as she rubbed her hand across her stomach, "Baby girl, I know it's fun to use mama's bladder as a kickball but could you not right now?"

At 32 weeks and 3 days Mollie was in the home-stretch of her first pregnancy. She knew her days of flying were getting shorter but there was no way she was going to miss seeing Sidney's shot at winning a third Stanley Cup. Making it to Nashville however turned out to be the easy feat, now she had to try and coax her daughter off her internal organs so that she could focus on the game.

Two minutes.

Mollie groaned crossing her legs tighter, all the fidgeting caught the attention of Vero Fleury from the seat to her left, "Gotta go?"

"So bad, and she won't move."

Vero pointed at the stairs, "Go, we've done this all before and I'm sure Sid would rather you miss the end of the game than be down on the ice in wet pants."Knowing the mother of two was right Mollie jumped up, grabbed her purse and bolted up the stairs of the suite as fast as she possibly could.

Considering most sane people were not in the restroom during the last moments of a Stanley Cup Final elimination game Mollie was greeted with an abundance of empty stalls. As she plopped down she sighed with relief, placing a hand on her stomach she spoke to her daughter once more, "Daddy did it, and he did it for you this time baby girl."

As she washed her hands quickly Mollie could hear the celebrations beginning down on the ice from the televisions hanging from the ceiling of the Bridgestone Arena. Protecting her stomach as she walked through herds of Predators fans Mollie relished in her pride for Sidney. Smiling she flashed her family badge to the security guard, the tall man unclipped a red rope blocking the elevator allowing her entrance, "Congratulations, Mrs. Crosby on your season and new bundle of joy."

"Thank you," Mollie smiled large and proud as she entered the elevator.

In the depths of yet another arena Mollie met up with the rest of the Penguins wives and family members. As she approached her in-laws Trina's face lit up, "Ah, there you are sweetheart! We were concerned but Vero said you were in the restroom."

"Yes, someone was using my bladder as a punching bag again."

Since the day Sid and Mollie had told their parents they were expecting 7 months ago Trina, Troy, Renee, and Elliot had been over the moon. Both being first time grandparents they could not wait to meet the little girl growing in Mollie's belly. After all, they had waited a very long time for this moment.

Sid and Mollie actively tried for nearly five months before the one pink line turned into two. At her age Mollie felt pressured by the ticking time bomb of her uterus and the constant nagging by her mother. After Mollie had let it slip that she and Sidney were trying to get pregnant one Sunday at brunch Renee asked her daughter almost daily if she was pregnant yet.

It was overwhelming, to say the least.

Now that all the frustrations and pressures were off the whole family shared in excitement waiting on baby girl Crosby to make her debut. With only eight or so weeks to go the Holden-Crosby's would have to settle for celebrating a third Stanley Cup to pass the time.
