I found friendship in the strangest of places.
A monster truck rally...
She was quietly watching, while I was obnoxiously cheering them on.
When I came over half drunk and bitter from last nights breakup she was so sweet. She wiped my tears and spoke softly "Come on let's go."
That night she mended my heartstrings with late night pancakes and shitty jokes at our local diner.
She taught me how to be patient, and I taught her how to live without boundaries.
She taught me how to be kinder, and I taught her the right way to drink vodka.
We've lived and we've learned together.
Over the years we've become each other's backbones, each other's secret holder, each other's therapist because neither one of us could ever afford a real one.
I never thought I could have friendship could so pure
Yet I've found just that within her.
The perfect person I never knew I needed.
