"W-Who's there?" I called out as a tremble.

I stood up no longer feeling safe in this field as the atmosphere had changed . If I wasn't in my head I would've felt the changes. The hairs on my neck stood up .

Two men emerged from the darkness stalking towards me . I took a cautious step back
Both of the men was large in frame triple the size of my small body . I couldn't tell if they were guards or rogues . I had no way of telling .

"Are you lost baby girl?" One of the men asked roughly.

I trembled shaking my head as my eyes frantically searching in the dark ,"No..I was just on my way home." I whispered still slowly backing up .

The other man laughed gruffly ,"We can walk you back home ..servant ." He says his voice laced with venom .

"No thanks." I say quietly slowly going the opposite way of them .

"We weren't asking ." The other replies .

My hands shook as bile filled up in the back of my throat. My inner thoughts kept telling me to do one thing . Run.

I darted off in a random direction running as fast as my feet could possible take . I heard the men darting just as fast after me .

I didn't have enhanced speed so the chase was short lived . One of the men came behind me grabbing me roughly . I couldn't see those faceless men .

I screamed out,"Hel-" I wasn't given the chance as the man put is hand over my mouth roughly.

"Don't worry baby girl we will take good care of ya ." He breathed out in a thick accent I've never heard . His breath smelt of liquor. All I felt was harsh touches as I thrashed around to get away . All my attempts failed .

I was pinned on the dirt,
Everything went numb as I laid there on the dark forest floor .

Something switched inside as everything went silent . I couldn't feel the assaults that was being made on my skin . Instead my eyes went back to that beautiful moon above me . I began to do the only thing I knew how daydream .

I stared in front of Jonah , oh how I was in love with my Jonah . He stared at me a soft smile was on his beautiful lips . Jonah knew I was the only one for him .

Jonah reaches for my hand as we took a stroll on the beach . Everything was every was how I imagined it . I was glad he was made only for me . I laid my head on his shoulder closing my eyes sighing at peace . "Open your eyes beautiful." He whispered.

"I don't want to." I whispered holding on to him tightly. "Open your eyes , I'll be there with you ." He whispers . I didn't hesitate all I wanted was to be with my Jonah .

I squinted forcing my eyes open suddenly I noticed I was no longer in the dark forest . I was relieved I wasn't .

I was alone in a hospital room hooked up to different machines . I felt pain linger in places I wanted to ignore . The other pain weighed heavy in my heart of rejection . The tears and pain was knocking at the back of my eyes .

A older woman walked in wearing a white hospital coat . I looked at her , Claire . She looked like a younger version of our mother .

She looked at me I could tell mix emotions was behind her eyes ."How are you feeling Esmee." Claire asked softly.

I wonder if she was asking as a sister or a doctor ?

"I'm fine." I lied . I wasn't fine, those words had to do for now .

Claire eyed me nodding slightly as she looked at me with pity."Do you know what happened?"

I couldn't bring my brain to admit what happen so I nodded slightly looking down at my nails .

Suddenly I noticed the dirt that I had underneath my nails . So much of it .

"Do you know who those men were ?" She asked . I shook my head slightly not wanting to remember them .

Claire nods slowly staring at me intently, I wondered what was going on in her mind .

Claire stayed silent just reaching grabbing my hand squeezing it . We both just sat there not saying anything . Yet the moment to me was worth a thousand words .
