"Lydia, what do you mean they're saying you're dead?" Barbara inquired, striding over to us with a puzzled expression. "Well, you see, our old nemesis decided to resurface, and unfortunately, he succeeded," Mom explained. "Our old nemesis?" Adam interjected, clearly confused. "The man who married Mom and whom you all took care of," Sam clarified.

"Oh no, he's back!" Barbara exclaimed. "I'm Afraid so. What are we going to do?" I asked anxiously. Mom looked at me sternly and said, "We? You and Sam won't be doing anything. I don't want him to harm you two." "But Mom, we can help," Sam protested.

"Sam, I agree with your mom. It's far too risky," Barbara chimed in. Just then, the doorbell rang, and Sam and I hurried to answer it while Mom, Barbara, and Adam followed behind. "Hey there, Sam, Y/n," Aunt Becca greeted us as she entered, enveloping us in warm hugs. "Hi, Lydia, Barbara, and Adam," she added as she stepped inside. "Wait, you can see Mom, Adam, and Barbara?" Sam asked incredulously.

"Yes, I can. When Lydia was in her final year of high school, and I was about to start, she used to help me with my homework. Your mom and I would hang out with Barbara and Adam," Aunt Becca explained. "Adam and Barbara even babysat your dad and me when we were younger."

"Wow, that's so cool!" Sam exclaimed excitedly. "Thank you for coming, Becca. You're amazing. Could I have a word with you?" Mom asked, leading Becca into her bedroom.

"So, did the kids tell you how I died?" Lydia asked Becca nervously once they were alone. "No, how did it happen?" Enola inquired.

"Remember me telling you about everything that went down a couple of years ago?" Lydia began. "Oh, Lydia, don't tell me he's the one who did this to you and that he's back," Becca gasped.

"Yeah, he did, and he's back, but he hasn't made a move yet. Maybe he's not planning to return, but I highly doubt that," Lydia sighed.

"Have you considered seeking help from the netherworld?" Becca suggested. "If I go there so soon after dying, I could get stuck," Lydia fretted. "What about Adam and Barbara? Could they go?" Becca proposed. "Oh my gosh, you're right! They can go!" Lydia realized.

Lydia and Becca rushed out of the room and up to the attic where Barbara, Adam, Sam, and I were. "Barbara, Adam, can you two visit the netherworld without getting trapped there?" Lydia asked breathlessly. "Yes, we can," Adam confirmed. "Fantastic!" Becca exclaimed. "Lydia, Becca, what's going on?" Barbara inquired.

"Could you two go to the netherworld and gather information to help us deal with BJ differently?" Lydia requested. "Of course, you two are geniuses," Adam remarked. He approached a wall and drew a door with chalk. "Mom, Aunt Enola, could you guys give us a moment?" I interjected. "I suppose. Goodbye, Adam, bye Barbara," Lydia said as they left the room and headed to the kitchen.

"Barbara, Adam, when you're in the netherworld, could you try to find Dad and tell him we all miss him?" Sam asked with a touch of longing. "Absolutely," Barbara assured him. After bidding their farewells, Barbara and Adam ventured into the netherworld.

Meanwhile, with the Maitlands:

"Barbara, should we start by exploring the library or head straight to Mrs. Argentina?" Adam pondered aloud. "Let's start with the library and see what we can find," Barbara suggested. They went to the library, scoured the shelves, and bumped into someone unexpected. "Barbara, Adam, is that you?"
