the lead in my heart
seeps through my veins
bursts my nerves open
boils my blood
it is oh so heavy
cold to the touch
i cough black smoke
and collapse to the ground
in a final attempt to save my body
i lay on the ground
weeping
for i cannot stand up
anymore
