Breezeflight looked at Dawnmist in the corner of his eye. Her beautiful tortioseshell pelt is now dirty and clumped. He could tell she was just too sad and exhausted to care.

They had just gotten back to Sunclan's camp after the gathering. The gathering that changed their lives forever.

Breezeflight sighed and went to go sit beside Dawnmist, who was laying outside the apprentices den. "You know, you can talk to me if you want," he meowed.

Dawnmist looked away from him, "I rather not." He frowned, "Why not?"

"Because you already know what happened. You were there, mouse-brain. You should already know why I'm sad," she hissed. Breezeflight was taken aback by her harsh retort.

"I know, and I'm really sorry. Squirrelstar was so harsh to you. You didn't deserve that, you were just obeying Starclan. I would feel the same way if my mother did that to me," Breezeflight meowed.

Dawnmist sighed and set her head on her paws sadly.

Breezeflight looked around camp for Angel. The white she-cat was talking with Beestripe. Breezeflight glanced at Dawnmist before joining his brother and Angel.

When he reached them Angel was laughing at something Beestripe was saying. "Speaking of him, here he is," Beestripe purred. Breezeflight glanced at Angel, "What is he saying about me?"

Angel laughed, "Oh how you were such a bad hunter, and how Beestripe is the best hunter in your family. You never told me you had a brother and sister."

Breezeflight glared at Beestripe, "Because I knew if I did you would want to meet them. And this would happen."

Beestripe puffed out his chest, trying to look big and strong. "Hey, I can't help that I'm much more handsome and a better hunter than you are. I bet I have all the she-cats drooling over me," he meowed and sent a wink Angel's way.

Angel giggled. Breezeflight felt anger deep through him. She's mine Beestripe! Go find your own she-cat.

Before his brother could say another word, Breezeflight lightly nudged Angel. "Do want to come hunt with me so I can prove that I'm a better hunter than Beestripe," he meowed playfully. Angel purred, "I would love to."

Breezeflight and Angel walked out of camp into the forest. It felt so familiar but also so strange. It didn't feel right. He knew he belonged on the moor, with Angel. That was his true home.

He pricked his ears as a creature moved through the undergrowth nearby. He dropped into a crouch with his mouth open to scent for prey.

A thrush scuttled into view. Breezeflight crept forward on light paws. He stopped and bunched his hind legs underneath him as he got closer. Then he leaped. Breezeflight landed squarely on top of the thrush, killing it on impact.

He proudly picked the thrush up in his jaws and carried it back to Angel. She purred, "Nice catch."

Breezeflight puffed his chest out with pride, "Thanks. Now do you think I'm a better hunter." Angel nodded, "I knew you were better from the start. But we need to talk."

Breezeflight set his thrush down and gazed at her with confused eyes, "Umm okay."

Angel sighed and looked down at her paws. "I know I've only been here to one night but I miss my family. I've been gone way too long, Breezeflight. They probably think I'm dead. What I'm saying is, I'm going back to the moor in the morning. You can come with me or not, its your choice. But I want you to know that I will be behind you the whole way as you create a new clan on the moor. I'm looking forward to becoming a clan cat. I really like you, Breezeflight. I would do anything for you," she meowed sincerely.

Breezeflight looked at her with compassion. "Thank you Angel. And I like you too. In fact the first time I layed eyes on you I fell in love. I will come with you. I will create a new clan on the moor and you can be by my side as I lead it," he meowed.

Angel purred with affection, "That's sounds wonderful. I love you Breezeflight." Breezeflight stepped towards her and rapped his tail around her. He pulled her close to his body, not wanting to ever let go.

Her sweet scent flooded over him. He never wanted this moment to end. "I love you too Angel."
