"Breezestar wake up!"

Breezestar opened his eyes sleepily. He was startled to see Dawnstar standing over him. He sat up worriedly when he saw the fear in her eyes.

"What happened?" he meowed while looking to the den entrance nervously. Dawnstar's eyes were wide and scared. "I had a dream from Starclan," she meowed.

Breezestar pricked his ears, "What happened?" "I was in Starclan. But then this weird watery substance thing started to come out of know where. It was sticky and dense to where it wasn't easy to swim in. It started to rise higher and higher until my muzzle went completely underneath it. I tried to swim up but I couldn't. Then I heard a voice whisper in my ear, 'If the clans do not make peace soon and learn to forgive each other, then you all will perish.'"

Breezestar looked at her curiously, "What do you think it means?" Dawnstar glanced at the den entrance before returning her gaze to him. "I think this is about me and Squirrelstar. She doesn't exactly like me right now so that means Shadeclan doesn't like me either. This could be just between Dawnclan and Shadeclan," she meowed.

Breezestar nodded in agreement, "I think your right. But I don't think its just Dawnclan that Shadeclan doesn't like. Its also Breezeclan. Shadeclan has marked their border twice as much as they normally do. They are making sure we don't cross into their territory. Squirrelstar is sending us a warning."

Dawnstar sighed, "I know this is what my dream meant. But what I don't know is how we are supposed to make peace with Squirrelstar. You might have better luck than I will."

Breezestar looked down at his paws. He didn't know what to do. Then he looked up excitedly as an idea popped into his head. Dawnstar looked at him intently.

"We need to speak to Squirrelstar ourselves. But it can't come from just me. It must come from you too. We have to go now before its too late," he meowed urgently.

He didn't wait for answer from her. He pushed past her and into the clearing. It was dark and rain was still pouring from the sky. His pelt was soaked in a matter of seconds. Dawnstar hurried after him.

"But she won't listen to us! You have to believe me on that," she growled as he pushed his way into he warriors den. He turned around to face her. "It can't hurt to try."

He walked over to Sparrowwing's nest and shook him slightly. The toms eyes fluttered open. He scrambled to his paws when he saw Dawnstar standing beside Breezestar. "What's going on?" Sparrowwing meowed, looking from Breezestar to Dawnstar.

"Dawnstar and I have to take care of something. Just take care of the clan while I'm gone. Hopefully it won't be long. Oh and send a small patrol to see how the river is. I'll be back before you know it," Breezestar meowed quickly. Sparrowwing nodded and escorted them to the camp entrance.

"Good luck with whatever you doing," he meowed. Breezestar looked at his deputy nervously, "We will need all the luck we can get."

Breezestar waved him goodbye and raced out across the moor with Dawnstar beside him. He purred with amusement as she started to fall back. "What's so funny?" she scoffed. He laughed, "I just find it funny that I'm so much faster than you, fish-face."

Her eyes lit up with amusement, "Hey at least I'm not afraid to get wet, rabbit-brain." He laughed.

They ran as fast as they could to the Shadeclan border. He slowed to a trot when he caught a glimpse of the pine forest. Danwstar slowed beside him. They came to a stop beside the border.

Breezestar looked at Dawnstar. She was shifting nervously. "Are you ok?" he meowed, trying to lay his tail across her shoulders. But she stepped away from him, "Lets just get this over with."

Breezestar took a deep breath and trotted across the border. What was he about to get himself into?
