The members carrying empty buckets rushed for the river, producing that clinking sound that metal makes.

Metal is sonorous.

My chemistry notes were getting repeated in my mind. Guess I shouldn't have studied it before the race.

I peeked to my side to find Sia from the opposite team, Shanaya from the other but hadn't seen any one from my team.

" Hurry up turtle " Someone came running and smacked my head from behind.

" I swear to God I will kill you once I catch you Brendan. "I screamed panting heavily.

Shane passed me as well shouting some cheer words on the way. The forest was clearing a bit and the splashing sound of water against the shore was evident.

I must be near.

My footsteps fastened as my speed increased and there I was.

The flow of the river was quite fast and I was shocked by the beauty. The mountains were very evident and the clouds hovered in the sky.

I told myself and filled the bucket to the brim . I strengthen my muscles to pick that up but it was heavy.

Out of no where, Brendan along with Shane appeared, who held their buckets too.

" I can carry it myself "

Brendan smirked, " wasn't gonna ask anyway."

However , he gave me a piece of cloth to hold the bucket with.

" Get aside losers!! "

Before I could see who it was, I was pushed aside and tackled against Shane and our water buckets were poured over each other.

My clothes, hair, face, everything were entirely wet. My face was covered with hair as I found Shane on top of me. I pushed him away.

" who the f*** was that " Shane cursed yet again.

I sneezed and answered,

" George "

Brendan, " wasn't he in our team? "

" I doubt he remembered that! "

Diana came running behind him.
" I am really really sorry on behalf of George ."
She bowed and ran again.

Brendan raised his eyebrows,
" I will never understand their relationship. "

Shane finally got a hold of himself and screamed,

" Traitor!! You are a ******* traitor

We had hurried back to the camp, where our team mates had started to fill the water balloons. But my eyes never left this one person,

" that girl....lilly is scaring me. " I whispered.

" I saw that... She is kind of creepy. I would have taken her down if she wasn't George's cousin. " Kacee did some weird actions.

She is probably right.
If she wasn't George's cousin, we two won't have ever been friends.
