The Chemical Factory (The Ooze fan fic)

Chapter 2

It was 7:20 am today, the sun was shining, the birds flew and chirp on the tree, and the alarm clock beeps repeatedly to wake Chloe up from her slumber. Chloe is too tired to get up to turn off the alarm so she use her left arm to reach for the button but misses sometimes. She finally turn off the alarm and sat up, yawning and stretching her back while she is sitting on the edge of her bed. It was just a normal morning routine, she gets up, take a shower, change into warm clothes, eat breakfast, and head out to class. When she was about to start with breakfast, her phone rings on the nightstand so she check who is calling and it's her friend, Todd Griffin, she answers it.
Chloe: "Hello?"
Todd: "Chloe! Oh thank god you answered!" Todd said but he sounds like he saw a ghost or something.
Chloe: "Are you ok? What happen?"
Todd: "Go to the medical room and fast! There's a bunch of sick people here! Hurry!" Todd said and hung up.

(Time skip about 5 minutes later)

Chloe ran inside the medical room quickly where she saw a bunch of students and professors laying on the medical bed coughing out blood a little, bumps appearing on their body, eyes turning red from the swelling, and some of them started throwing up in the trash bin and on the floor. Chloe is in complete shock to see them like this and the smell from the vomit made her that she is going to puke as well but she tried not to and swallow it back down. Her friend Todd appear by the curtains when he was taking care of the sick students. He is wearing a surgical mask to protect himself from being affected, he quickly turn to see his friend standing there.
Todd: "Chloe! Thank god you made it. Here, put this one." Todd handed her a surgical mask.
Chloe: "Thanks." She puts the mask on to cover the nose and the mouth.
Todd: "There was a large truck crash today and it spilled a large amount of toxic waste around the campus. The spill caught so many students and the professors as well feeling ill and coughing out blood a lot."
Chloe: "What?!"
Todd: "The truck is from the LHCC factory, the driver inside is alive but his injuries are worst due to the impact of the crash and his leg fractured. We tried talking to him but he wouldn't answer our question."
When Chloe is about to say something she was cutoff when Lacy called for Todd that the driver is loosing a lot of blood. Todd ran to help the patient from the bleeding profusely but it was too late, the driver died from blood loss.
Todd: "Sh*t!" Todd shouted and almost knocked down the IV machine to the floor. Lacy then cover the dead corpse with the blanket and look back Todd to see him disappointed at himself.
Chloe: "Is there a cure for this? There's gotta be an antidote."
Lacy: "There is from the LHCC factory. We tried calling them to use the antidote to help the others but the Director declined our request. Without it, everyone will die in 2 days. The chemical from the toxic waste affected the immune systems to shut down instantly."
That sentence shocked Chloe and tears stream down her face. She doesn't want her friends to die from a deadly disease but she was determine to think of a plan a heist to steal the antidote from the Corporation and save everyone.
Chloe: "I'll get the antidote." That caught Lacy's attention.
Lacy: "What?! No! Chloe you can't go there! They'll catch you!"
Chloe: "Well I can't stand here and watch them die! Their life depends on their future and I can't let it shatter into pieces! They need that antidote and I'm gonna go up there and steal it without getting caught!"
Lacy: "Chloe...I know you want to help them but I can't let you go up there and get hurt or worst, killed. We want to protect you." Lacy said in a sad voice
Chloe: "I know but look at them, I can't see them looking like this. I'm sorry but I need to get that antidote." Chloe said and left the medical room.
Lacy: "Chloe." She try to stop her but Todd grab her right arm from stepping forward.
Todd: "Just let her help them. She made a promise to them, don't you remember?"
Lacy: "Yes but she's gonna get herself killed. I don't want to loose my best friend." She said and tears start falling down to her face. 
Todd pulled her into a hug and rubs her back for comfort, Lacy hug back and bury her face into his chest while crying.
Todd: "She's going to be ok. Trust her."
