The Chemical Factory (The Ooze fan fic)

Chapter 9

The bright light hits her eyes causing Chloe to wake up from her slumber. Her eyes open revealing that she's back at her school. When her vision is clearing up, her friend Lacy was calling her name in a worried expression.
Lacy: "Chloe! Oh thank god you're okay!!"
Lacy gave her best friend a bear hug but she is still injured.
Lacy then let go of her.
Chloe: "What happen? Where are the antidotes?!"
Lacy: "It's ok. Your friend Daniel is is helping the others."
Lacy show Chloe that Dr. Caine is curing the students in the other room. Seeing the antidote really worked and everyone is thanking him for saving them from dying. Chloe look down to see that her body is covered in bandages from the injuries before and she can see blood through it.
Lacy: "I'm so glad that you're okay Chloe. You almost died from the disease but the good thing Daniel cured you first."

*flashback*

Dr. Caine stopped the University and carry Chloe to the medical room with the box of antidotes in his other hand. He stopped in the room and saw many students and professors laying on each individual hospital beds while they are groaning in pain, coughing, and puking out vomit in the trash bin. Lacy turn her head to see a man completely naked but his whole body is cover in green ooze dripping down. Her eyes widen when she saw her friend Chloe being carried over his shoulder and he is holding a box in his other hand.

Lacy: "Who are you? What happen to Chloe?!"
Dr. Caine: "It's ok. She just fainted but her injuries are getting worse. I need you to fix the wounds while I get the antidote ready."
Lacy nodded and place Chloe in one of the empty hospital beds. She starts using the medical alcohol to heal her wounds and wrapping it around with bandages from being infected. Dr. Caine came back with a lab coat covering his muscular body and he inject the antidote in Chloe's arm. The antidote worked, the virus is gone and Chloe is perfectly fine.

Lacy: "Hey, I need the other antidote to cure the others."
Dr. Caine: "Don't worry I'll handle them, you stay here and watch her."
Dr. Caine then left to help the others.

*flashback ends*

Dr. Caine came back and see Chloe woke up.
Dr. Caine: "Chloe, you're awake."
Chloe: "Yeah..."
Dr. Caine: "How are you feeling?" He said and sat down on a chair next to her bed.
Chloe: "I'm feeling better, thank you for saving me."
Dr. Caine: "It's no problem Chloe. I should be thanking you for helping me back there, without the antidote, I could of been stuck into a monster forever."
Chloe blush a bit at the comment. The way he said it made her heart beat fast of that nice and thankful tone.
Chloe: "Um...you're welcome, Daniel."
Without thinking, Chloe gave him a hug. Dr. Caine is shocked at that moment but doesn't know how to respond back. He blushed for a moment and then hug her back by wrapping his arms around her torso carefully not to put pressure on her wounds.
Lacy came back with the tray of food for Chloe and saw them hugging like a couple would do on their date. Lacy smiled and set the tray down on the table.

Lacy: "Aww, you two are so cute together. You're like a cute couple."

They pulled away and blush a lot.
Chloe: "Lacy, shouldn't you be helping Mason with the professors?"
Lacy: "Yeah I guess but you guys make a great couple." Lacy left the room leaving them in a blushing mess. Chloe face palm at her words. Dr. Caine chuckled at her reaction.
Dr. Caine: "Your friend is pretty funny."
Chloe: "Yeah, she's a real jokester sometimes." Chloe chuckled a bit.

Chloe: "But hey, what happen to your insane boss? I heard he turned himself into a orange ooze."
Dr. Caine: "I defeated him and trapped him inside a lava lamp."
Chloe: "What?! He could of escaped inside, we gotta stop him."
Dr. Caine: "It's sealed tight and there's no way he can't escape, don't worry about it Chloe."
Chloe: "Okay, but I don't want it to happen again."
Dr. Caine smiled and hug her again.
Dr. Caine: "It's okay, I'll protect you no matter what from that bastard harming you, I promise."
With that, Chloe smiled from his promise and hug him again.
They let go about a second and Dr. Caine helped Chloe lay down and tuck her in bed.
Dr. Caine: "You should rest, you need to let your wounds healed."
Chloe: "Okay.."

She close her eyes letting her sleep and Dr. Caine gave her a kiss on the forehead. He left the room to help Lacy and Mason with the sick professors.
