The stupid LG alarm when off. Is it limited to just LG? Phil didn’t care, he just wanted to murder whoever sang the stupid “pow pow pow pow good morning”. It did have a good bass line though. He dismissed the alarm and got up, Dan groaning and getting up as well. Phil went to the suitcase Martyn brought and got out some ripped black jeans and a Muse t-shirt. He wore black fake high tops too. To top it off he wore a grey, black and white flannel and a red beanie. Sure, the Blurryface era was long over, but red beanies were still stylish in Phil’s eyes. Dan wore baby blue skinny jeans and an oversized pastel pink jumper paired with some white high top converse and a white flower crown. He also swapped out his black earrings for some small silver hoops. ‘Alright, let’s go to our nightmares.’ Phil sighed, clearly not looking forward to this. Dan took a nervous breath, shaking a bit. Phil took his hand to calm his nerves a bit. ‘You’ll be fine, trust me.’ Dan did trust him. He had known Phil for two days and he trusted him with his life. Maybe they were soulmates.
They got to the dainty, falling apart bus stop, Dan could really feel the nerves now. He was clinging onto Phil for dear life, hiding in his neck. Phil had an arm around Dan, protectively. Wanting to protect this innocent soul from the disgusting monsters that surrounded them. ‘Lester, who’s this pretty little thing?’ Richie asked, looking Dan up and down, making him even more uncomfortable. ‘Get lost.’ Phil sneered, sitting down at the crowded, gross, breaking and old bus stop, people moved out of Phil’s way, giving him a place to sit. They were scared of him for two reasons. One, he dresses in dark, punk-like clothes. There’s this thing called stereotypes, luckily they worked in a way that benefited Phil, so he wasn’t bothered by it. Two, he never put up with people’s shit. ‘Oh, there he is, Phil Lester, mister cool. Mister totally didn’t ghost me all weekend. Hi Daniel, by the way.’ Jay sarcastically said, apart from that last bit. Yeah it was common knowledge that Jay was the only person that could give Phil shit. ‘I was with you on Saturday, you pinecone!’ Phil exclaimed defensively. Dan gave a small smile and a wave to Jay, who in turn smiled back. They sat down next to Dan, the people previously sitting there moved, and started going on about this pretty girl they liked. The ugly, disgustingly colored school bus arrived, all the kids got on. When Dan and Phil got on the bus driver quickly confirmed that this was Daniel, before they sat down near the back. People were passing glances, who was this pretty boy? Pastel colours and flower crowns? Odd. ‘Phil, why are they looking at me like that?’ Dan whispered. It seemed that Phil may have hated school, but Dan was scared of it. ‘It’s not you they’re looking at.’ Phil didn’t know if that was true, but it calmed Dan a tiny bit, so it didn’t matter. He subtly gave the people looking a dirty look, making them instantly look away. Yeah, looking mildly intimidating came to his benefit.
They reached hell- I mean, school. The building itself was nice enough, it was a relatively new school, only six years old, so the look of it was quite modern. It looked like three white blocks next to each other, it was either really cool or horrible, depending on who you asked. They got off the bus, most people just going through the main entrance, two big glass doors, whereas Phil led Dan to the admissions office entrance, a smaller glass door. ‘Daniel Howell?’ The lady at the front desk asked. He nodded shyly. She wrote some stuff down, made a few calls and she waved us through, quickly informing them that he was in Phil’s class. They left through the door that led to the inside of the school and went up the grey stairs to their classroom. A few people gave Dan a couple of strange looks, but no one really paid that much attention to him. As it got closer to nine o’clock, the students started to sit in their assigned seats, Louise arrived at some point too, she was driven by a driver because she’s fancy, and Phil realised Dan didn’t actually have a seat. There were no available ones left, leaving him standing there like a lost toddler. Phil couldn’t look at him with that look of fear and sadness in his eyes, so he told him to sit in his seat, sitting on the table instead. It was already made clear that Phil really cared about this boy, but people were kind of shocked. If this were a regular friend he might have laughed, this happened to Jay once and he was crying from laughing so hard, but he was so concerned about this boy, so considerate, it couldn’t be, had the heartless Phil Lester fallen in love? Some students had heard that he had hit Greg defending this new kid, most hoped that was true, because that dick needed a good punch. And Dan really needed a hug. Maybe a cuddle. Like really needed it. Like maybe the author of this story wants one too. :( And maybe someone isn’t paying attention to them. Okay it’s fine I’m on her lap now, where was I?
