Chapter 8

                        -Kiki’s life-
    “Eat me, Kiki!”
    “You must stay alive.”
    “I love you, Kiki. So, just eat me…”
    “EAT ME!! LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER!! I AM YOUR MOTHER!!”

    “AAAAAARGH!!”
    Kiki wake up and it was all a dream. “I…I’m sorry…Mother…” Kiki cries every night with the same dream.
    “Hey…”
    Kiki gasp and saw Verene was standing beside her bed.
    “P-please…don’t throw me…” Kiki beg her.
    Verene raise an eyebrow and stare her. “You scream almost every night, I heard you cry, and I won’t throw you out of this house…”
    Kiki felt calm when Verene said that. But Kiki was curious about Verene.
    “Erm…miss…are you…watching me when I’m sleeping?” Kiki asked.
    “Hmm…no…I came here when you screaming.”
    “Did I wake you up?”
    “I don’t sleep at night…”
    Kiki shocked. ‘What is she? She always dresses the same black dress, could she be…?’
    “I know that Jotu save you from the forest right?”
    Kiki just nodded. She still wonders about Verene. “Can I ask you a question, miss?”
    “Yes, go ahead.”
    Kiki gulp and say “are you a vampire?”
    Verene was tired of the same question when she facing with new people in the house. Verene just show her fangs to Kiki.
    Kiki gasped and pass out.
    “What? That was fast. She falls asleep. Well, got to go drink some blood.” Verene leave the room.

-The next morning-
In Yerene’s room, Hidan and Yerene sleep together, hasn’t wake up yet.
In Jotu’s room, Jotu wake up and goes to the bathroom.
While Kiki was awake a while ago, she still remember her dream.
Verene take a peek at Kiki’s door before she goes into her room.
“Hi, good morning!”Jotu went into Kiki’s room.
“Oh, good morning, Jotu…” Kiki greet him back.
“So… did you sleep well last night?”
“Erm… actually… I’ve bad dream last night…” said Kiki.
“Oh… really? Hmm… would you mind telling me? Or if not you don’t have to tell me I’m fine with it.”
“No… wait…” Kiki hold Jotu’s hand.
“Oh okay, I’ll stay.” Jotu smiled and he’s ready to listen to what Kiki has to say.

Kiki took a deep breath before she started.
“It’s started when our village,my village was destroyed by the evil terrorist. They burned our house and our store house, everything.
Me and my family were the only one escape. We ran as far as we can. I have a younger brother and a big brother. They were both very brave, they were brave to protect me from any danger, even for my younger brother.”
Kiki stopped. Jotu still listening her story.
“Then suddenly, a cannibal came out of nowhere, snatch my brother, two of them. The cannibal take them into the forest. I don’t know what to do, I was scared then I ran to tell my mother. I told her what happened but she doesn't seem to care. She was acting strange. Then, she cried and said ‘Kiki, we don’t have enough food to eat and we lose our home… and… I don’t want to lose you.’ My face went pale that time when my mother said that. A minute later, I heard both of my brothers were screaming, I cover my ears, I don’t want to hear my brothers in suffer, I just can’t take it.”
Kiki’s eyes was fill with tears but she just bear with it and continue her story.
“And then, my mother glares at me. She said ‘Kiki, please eat me. I don’t have any energy left, I can’t even stand up and fight for my own children. But if you eat me, I can give you my energy for you to run away from this forest, please Kiki. Listen to your mother.’
I was trembling. I started to feel sad and I know that I’m starving. It’s been a week that I haven’t eat anything and the crappy forest doesn't have any food not a single bit.
My mind was messy that time, I don’t want to eat my mother, I refuse. But then, my mother look at me in the eye and said ‘I believe in you, Kiki.’ I’m not sure and I don’t understand what’s that mean and then I realized… all of them were sacrifice for me. They want me to live.
My last decision, I’m not hungry any more. I have enough energy to run away from the forest and then I met you. That’s the end of my dream.”
“Wait, was that a dream or your real life story?” Jotu was confused.
“I should call it my life earlier before I start telling you my story.” Kiki giggled.
“Wow… you have such a terrible life… I’m sorry for your lost, Kiki.” Jotu feel sympathy for Kiki.
“You are my saviour, Jotu. Without you, I don’t have a home and I could starve to death. Thank you so much, Jotu.” Kiki smiled.
Jotu blush a little when he saw Kiki’s cute smiling face.
“Y-you’re welcome, Kiki. You don’t have to thank me that much, I’m glad you told me your life just now. Now I know what happened to you. I will take care of you from now on.”
All of Jotu’s words make Kiki more trusted and more in love with him. Kiki nodded understand. Her heart was full of joy when she’s with him.

‘Big brother, little brother and mother…
