Chapter 15

-Did someone just fall in love?-

~Kakuzu P.O.V~
I’ve been thinking about Verene since my last birthday. I still don’t understand why she is nice to me. Why does she have to do my birthday party? I don’t like loud noises. I like peace and quiet, and of course making money.
Anyway, she is the leader of the house. I don’t know why I ended up in this house, I could just run and leave the house. But eventually, Hidan is my partner. Hidan didn’t want me to leave him so I have no choice but to stick with him.
He made a friend and that was Yerene, Verene’s best friend. I don’t know how Hidan and Yerene even know each other and then they in the relationship. Then, Yerene is pregnant with Hidan’s baby. She is now in 4 months pregnancy.
Lastly, Jotu and the little girl, I don’t know her name. They doing things together like brother and sister but I found out that they are in the relationship as well. I don’t really understand what is going on here in this big house. Sure Verene have decorated the house and it’s so much better than the original one but people in this house were full of lovey dovey.
I can’t take it any more. I need to leave the house. Because it drives me crazy. They do things that I didn’t want to see. I feel so… disgusted and irritated.

~Evening~
I take a walk at the park as usual. I watch all the kids were playing at the playground, playing sandbox, slide, swings and playing with each other. They are so very annoying sometimes because… I mostly read my book at the park but there’s an interruption.
The boy stares at me and I just ignore him and keep reading, I don’t know why. But, I think he just saw a butterfly or something.
Then the boy ask me. “Do you have a girlfriend?”
I look at the boy and say “Nope and leave me alone.”
The boy didn’t leave me but ask another question. “Why? You look like my brother who has a girlfriend. You should have one.”
This boy irritates me so much. “Go home kid.” I stand up and leave the park.

~Night~
I spend my time reading in the library. The library closed at 7pm. So I better get out of here before I got locked in.
As soon as I get out, I’m thinking what should I do next. I didn’t want to go home early so I brought a lamb ribs to eat.
Wait, what is my birthday present? Did Verene give me anything? I don’t remember but I remember clearly that I said ‘thank you’ to her. I have never said thanks to anyone before and Verene was the first.
Oh my God! What happened to me? Why am I thinking about Verene that much? I need to stop thinking about her, right now!

Several hours later, I ended up laying down on the grass in front of the house yard. I still don’t want to go inside because they are cuddling on the sofa. It’s still irritates me. So, I just look up at the sky, there’s nothing but dark clouds with full moon. I also didn’t go kill people these days because I’ve turn into a young teenage boy. I could get caught by the police if I kill someone.

“Kakuzu~ Kakuzu~ “
I heard someone calling me, it’s sounds like a girl’s voice.
“Kakuzu… Kakuzu…”
And it sounds like Verene was calling me. I follow the voice. Then, I found a tape, lying on the ground. I pick it up and the titles says “My Memories with Immortal”. I don’t know why is it here.
And then I heard the voice again. “Kakuzu~ where is Kakuzu?”
Where is this mysterious voice comes from? I’m very curious right now.
So, I continue to investigate until I found it. Then, just before I could go any further, the voice is getting closer.

“Kakuzu! Kakuzu wake up!”
I open my eyes slowly and I saw Verene’s pale worried face.
“Verene… how long I’ve been sleeping?”
“I don’t know, it’s midnight already and why are you sleeping outside? You didn’t feel cold at all?”
Verene look like a worried mother and I don’t like it. I stop her by grabbing her wrist. “Stop nagging will you, I’m fine.” I said, glaring at her.
Verene quickly pull her hand and she was blushing. “I’m not nagging, I was just worried and wondering, that’s all.”
I stand up and look at her. I was going to ask her about my birthday gift but she flew away quickly. What’s the rush?
Before I go inside the house, I check the love birds at the living room through the window, they are not there. That’s a relief.

I can’t sleep. It’s 2am in the morning but I can’t sleep. I kept thinking about today and Verene. I thought I already forget about her but nope.
Speaking of Verene, I just saw her flying through the house. Her hair is super long, I can almost see her shining black hair. And she’s a vampire, she always wear black clothes. I wanted to see her wearing colourful clothes someday I don’t think she would wear those clothes. And she never will.
Thinking about her makes me want to go to the bathroom.

~The next morning~
I feel so uncomfortable when I half asleep. I feel there’s someone hug my body, so cold but the way it hugs me almost feels like love and affection towards me, wait!
I opened my eyes and it was Verene. At first I was shocked but then she looks calm, very calm.
And I didn’t realize that she has beautiful oval face. I think my face is red because I can feel it on my cheeks, it burns.
I want to move but Verene hands are strong, and I can’t move.
‘What should I do? Should I wake her up? Tell me brain!’
But then I’m still tired, I wanted to close my eyes a bit more longer until Verene wakes up.

A few minutes later, I woke up and Verene wasn’t there anymore. I sigh and get up from my bed.
