Chapter 19

-Get to know each other-

In the middle of the night, Kakuzu still awake. He is thinking about Verene.
Speak of the devil, Verene pop out in front of Kakuzu’s face. “HI!”
Kakuzu gasp. “Verene… do you want me to get a heart attack?”
Verene giggle. “Haha… do you think you are weak? You are a strong man, I can feel it.”
Kakuzu thought ‘She really are something…huh…’
“So… what are we doing right now? Do you need me?” Verene asked playfully.
Kakuzu gulp and think for a second. “Verene… I….”
“Yes? Kakuzu?” Verene stare at him.
“I was just wondering… well… since I don’t know much about you… would you mind… tell me more about you… if you don’t m-” Kakuzu stops by Verene putting her index finger on his lips.
“Alright, I will tell you since you are my new boyfriend…but…you must remember everything that I told you, okay?”
Kakuzu nod. Verene smiles and sit next to Kakuzu.

~Verene’s P.O.V~
“I always been a leader for all my life, I am the eldest after all, I took care my little sister and my parents always going out hunting or fight another vampire.”
Kakuzu look at me for a second and said, “there are many more vampire than you?”
I laugh a little, “Of course you silly, we are the most powerful monster before there’s another monster exists.” I pinch him and then I continue.
“Then, when I got older, I realize I need to get out from this place and start a new life, as for my sister. She’s already made many friends and she decided she wants to go with her boyfriend. I said to her ‘be safe and I will always love you’. after that, I’ve never see her again in a long time.” I stops…thinking about my sister.
“Are you alright, Verene?” Kakuzu asked.
“Yeah… I’m fine… after that, I always travelling alone…hunt for myself and survive. Then, I can sense Yerene in the wood. I flew to see her, she was covered with blood, humans blood. She’s not wearing any clothes, but I can’t see her in the dark. So, I approach to her slowly, she didn’t move, maybe she was tired.”
“Wait, Verene.” Kakuzu stops me.
“Hmm?”
“I realize that you and Yerene has the same name…”
“Oh… you see Kakuzu… that’s another story.”
“...What story?”
“ I’m actually… dead many years ago…”
“ Erm, aren’t vampires are actually… dead?”
“ I don’t think you get it, Kakuzu.”
“Huh?”
“My body are gone long time ago… this body I use is another person’s dead body.”
Kakuzu look at me with a strange expression on his face. “So, you are not the original vampire?”
“Well, I am the original… it’s my souls who was wondering and Yerene too… I forgot my real name when I was a real vampire… so I made it myself… and to Yerene too…”
Kakuzu didn’t say a thing… I think he was terrified. I hold his hand. “It’s okay, Kakuzu. I’m still me, I just want to use this dead body because I wanted to live again… I wanted to feel what it is to live like a normal person.”
I kiss him on the cheek. “At least, I’m living with the person I love the most.”

~Kakuzu’s P.O.V~
I have no idea that Verene had been dead for many years already. I mean, I’m almost 91. I almost want to die of old age . I kinda feel sorry for her.
“Listen, Verene.”
“Yes?”
“The thing you said yesterday, at the beach…”
“Which one?”
“That vampires can die too…”
“Oh yeah, silly me, I’m already dead haha…” Verene laugh softly.
I take her hand and pint her down on my bed, she squeak a little. I look her in the eyes and she was already blushing hard.
“Verene… I will protect you from any danger from now on… I won’t let you die twice… even though you are a vampire but I promise you this…” I hug her and I whisper her in the ear. “I will always be there for you.”
Verene didn’t move but I can hear her heart pound very fast. I quickly get up and sit down on the bed… “I’m sorry… for that..” Actually I was kinda embarrassed for doing that. ‘What am I doing?’ 
Verene sits up and she cried. “Thank you, Kakuzu… you are actually a very kind old man.”
I didn’t say anything but Verene wrap her arms around my shoulder from behind. “That’s what I would like to hear from you, Kakuzu.”
I feel calm and relaxed after that. I fell for her over and over.

~Meanwhile back to third person’s P.O.V~
Yerene’s stomach is getting bigger (6 months). She just keep looking at the window. Hidan wasn’t in the room, he was going out to buy some food.
“What shall I name you baby? Why are you even in my belly? You’re not suppose to be in there. Now, I look ugly.” Yerene just mumbling to herself. Then, she started to cry.
Hidan just arrived. “I’m home.”
“Uncle Hidan, thank you.” said Kiki from the kitchen.
“Aren’t you suppose to be at school right now?”
“No… today it’s Saturday.”
“Ooh… yeah… right…” (Hidan is an idiot)
Hidan goes straight to the room. “Hey, honey, I’m back.” Then he saw Yerene was crying.
“Babe, why are you crying? Is something wrong? Is it the baby?”
Yerene punch him in the face. Hidan doesn’t mind though. “Shut up!! It was you who made me ugly!!”
“What?” Hidan is confuse. “Yerene, tell me, what did I do? Do you want me to buy you make up? So that you can be pretty?”
“Idiot, Hidan! You don’t understand!!” shouts Yerene.
“Is it the belly? Is it the baby?”
Yerene stop weeping and rub her belly. “Just… get out of here, Hidan… leave me…”
Hidan determined that he wants to stay with Yerene and comfort her until she calm down.

~Another meanwhile~
“Jotu… did you hear that?” Kiki was in the kitchen with Jotu.
“Yeah… what happen to them? It looks like they were fighting.”
Kiki hold Jotu’s hand. “But… it’s better if we don’t interrupt their business, Jotu. You’ll always get in trouble.” Kiki told him like a mother but Jotu can’t hold her cuteness.
“So cute!!”
“Hey! Don’t pinch me! It hurts!”
“Heehee…” Jotu smirk.
