-Kakuzu’s Birthday-

“So…Hidan… what is Kakuzu’s favourite food?” Verene ask.
“Hmm… it’s lamb ribs… I think…”
“What? Really? I will kill lamb this evening and cook it for him, it’s that okay?”
“Wait… no… no… he also like salmon… yeah… a very sour salmon.”
“What is salmon?” Verene is confuse.
“It’s a fish… hehe…” Hidan told her.
“Oh! Okay!” Verene nodded.

~With Kiki~
“Hey, Kiki…”
“Yes, miss Verene?”
“Do you know how to cook lamb ribs?”
“Lamb ribs? Hmm… I’m still an amateur but I’ll try.” Kiki smile with confidence.
“Oh!! and salmon fish… I’ll buy the ingredient later for you to prepare all the food for tonight, and if you work alone, just call Jotu, he will help you, okay?”
“Oh… erm… okay. Thank you, miss Verene.”
Verene dash out from the kitchen and ran upstairs.
“Miss Verene seems so cheerful and energetic today, what’s so special about today?” Clearly Kiki doesn’t have a clue about it.

~With Yerene~
“Yerene! Yerene! Open the door!” Verene knock the door loudly.
Yerene opened it. “Be patient will you, there’s a baby in my belly.”
“What do you think I should wear tonight?”
“Hmm? Are you going on the date with someone later?”
“No, you idiot!” Verene push Yerene into the room and locked the door.
“Today is Kakuzu’s birthday and I want to look different than my usual clothes for tonight, that’s why I ask you.”
“Oh! Really? You look great right now. You don’t have to change.” Yerene try to be sarcastic to Verene.
“Seriously, Yerene, you’re not helping.”
“Okay! Okay, first you going to look fabulous, you’re gotta look sexy.”
“How would I do that?”
“Take off your clothes, I’ll sew them.”
“Okay.” Verene took off her clothes and give it to Yerene.
“Okay, in about half an hour, your clothes is done. Now run off, do something useful.”
“Thank you, Yerene.” Before Verene could get out from Yerene’s room, Verene put on her usual clothes with her magic and then rush off to go somewhere else.
‘Good thing she’s a vampire’ Yerene thought and chuckled.

~With Jotu~
“Jotu, come with me!”
“Whoa…I want to play games, let me finish it.”
“You’ll finish it when I’m finish doing business with you! Now come on!” Verene drag Jotu to go the store.
-In a shopping mall-
“We need balloons, banner, cake, candles and some old books.”
“Whoa…whoa… slow down, big sis… what’s with all the balloons and stuff?”
“Don’t you know?”
“Know what?”
“We’re having a party tonight!”
“A party? What kind of party?”
“A birthday party!”
“Oh~ who’s birthday?”
Verene roll her eyes. “You will know it, now come on!”
“But I want to know now!”
“Oh! Shut up, Jotu!”

Evening before birthday
~With Kakuzu~
Kakuzu and Verene were at the park and Verene blindfolded him.
“What’s all this for?”
“I’m going to take you to a very very special place that’s why I cover your eyes, I don’t want to ruin the surprise.”
Kakuzu feel uncomfortable but he just go with it.
“Huh… please make it quick.”
Verene giggled.
“Okay… hope you don’t get mad.”

Verene was wearing her new clothes that Yerene modified. Kiki finished her lamb ribs and salmon for Kakuzu. Hidan and Jotu were looking great and so as Kiki and Yerene.
Kakuzu was at the front door, still blindfolded.
“Are we there yet?” Kakuzu feel really uncomfortable then he take off the handkerchief then…
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU~!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU~!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KAKUZU~~!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU~!”
Kakuzu was stunned and living room was so bright. All of them are cheering for him clap their hands.
“So… do you feel surprise?” Verene ask.
“N-no…why whould I be surprise?”
Kakuzu saw the difference in Verene appearance. She was beautiful than usual.
“Ehem… this… this was your idea, isn’t it?” Kakuzu ask while blushing.
“Hmm? What? Oh no no… it was Hidan.” Verene point at Hidan.
“Okay!! Stop your chitchat… come on, cut the cake, Kakuzu!” Hidan put his arm around Kakuzu’s shoulders and bring him to the cake.
“There’s a lot of candles!”
“YEAH!! HAHAHA!!” Hidan laugh out loud.

A few hours later, all of them seems to be having fun while Verene was on the roof, admire the stars and the moon.
“Haaaa… I’m glad I could make the old man happy… in fact that now he can’t be as his usual self any more…but… I’m glad.”
Verene loves to help people. She is a kind vampire after all.
“Right now, I’m starving. I better go fill up my tank.”

It’s midnight, all of them are fast asleep except for Kakuzu. He was sitting on a sofa with two kids, sleep against him. He want to get out from the house and go to his favourite place. (Park)
Kakuzu manage to get out from the house. “Fresh air…” he was strolling and breathe slowly. Suddenly, he heard something behind the bushes. He was going to take a peek and then he saw Verene, she was slurping a bad victim’s blood.
“Oii…”
Verene gasp and quickly fly away.
“Hey!! It’s me!!” Kakuzu yelled.
“Kakuzu? Oh! It’s you… I thought it was a policeman or someone.” Verene wipe out the blood from her mouth. She flew back to Kakuzu and stand in front of him.
“Verene…”
“Yeah?”
“Why do you have to do my birthday party for me?”
Verene smile and say. “Well, you are getting old. And I ask Hidan that you never had any birthday celebration since you are still little boy. So, I might want to make a birthday party for you even though you don’t care but enjoy it while you are still alive, bro. That’s why.” She wink at him.
Kakuzu didn’t say a word. He just touched by those amazing words that came out from Verene.
“I hope you enjoy your birthday today, I know it’s not much but at least you have friends to celebrate it with you.”
Kakuzu still didn’t say anything. He just stared at Verene.
“Ehem… well… goodnight, Kakuzu.” Before she could fly, Kakuzu pull her hand roughly.
“Eh?”
“Thank you…” Kakuzu said with his soft voice.
Verene was blushing, because Kakuzu looks cool right now and they are holding hands.
“You’re welcome, Kakuzu.” Verene smiled and nodded.
Kakuzu let go of her hand and Verene fly.
Kakuzu’s heart was full of love and power when he thinks about kindness.
“I used to be evil and cruel but now… I’m turning into a good and kind man. Oh nooo!! THIS IS ALL HIDAN’S FAULT!!”
“Achooo! Am I getting a cold?”
