Ikari No Jyushin

As Helios waited, he grew a bit antsy with every passing second. He wanted to know who he would be defending his title against. Then, he got his answer and it made his jaw drop. 

Moyase moyase ikari wo moyase

Hashire hashire ashita e hashire

Ikari no honoo ga ten wo tsuki yaburu

Haikyo no nakakara tachiagare, Liger!

Then stepped out the man who he idolized, the man who led him to enter the world of pro wrestling, Jushin Thunder Liger. The record 11-time IWGP Jr Heavyweight Champion made his way to the ring as the light reflected off his sliver and blue cape. It seemed surreal to Helios that he would wrestle his wrestling hero. Liger stepped into the ring and did his signature bit of throwing his cape back and spreading his arms out. He went to his corner, taking off his cape and handing it off to one of the young lions. Helios gave his PROGRESS title to the referee, who held it up for the crowd to see. After handing the title to another young lion, the referee check both competitors if they were ready and he signaled for the bell. 

DING! DING! DING!

The two opponents walk around the mat, keeping their distance from each other. Helios knew he had to be cautious as he was wrestling a living legend. They locked up with a Test of Strength, which led to Liger to push Helios against the ropes. As Liger was motioned for a chop, he patted Helios' chest and walked back. Helios smirked and got back into his stance. They locked up once more and this time, Helios was able to transition and get a hold on Liger from behind. Helios collapse into a roll pin. 

Ich-! Kickout!

Liger kicked out quickly and dodged a quick kick from Helios. Then, Liger managed to get Helios into a roll up pin with his arm. Another quick kickout, this time from Helios. Rolling backwards onto his feet, Helios dashed at Liger but had the rug swept from under him as Liger pull his leg and went for an old fashion pin. With yet another kickout, Helios got back on his feet and Liger kept his distance. The crowd applauded for the quick sequence.

33 Minutes Later

Helios was just struggling as Liger used his veteran experience to his advantage. Helios was groggy and holding his abdomen. Liger was looking to end the match soon as he did a slit throat taunt. Grabbing Helios, Liger was positioned his opponent for his trademark Liger bomb. As he lifted his opponent up, Helios used the last of his scarce energy to jab Liger's head. Helios was able to get off and delivered a quick knee. As Liger lean forward and held his stomach, Helios hopped onto Liger's back and went for a Sunset Flip. The impact left Liger somewhat dazed and his arms were pinned to the mat. Liger began to struggle but Helios hooked his hands together to keep him from kicking out.

Ichi! Ni! San! DING! DING! DING!

As the bell rang, Helios fell onto his back from exhaustion. Liger rolled onto his stomach and looked up to see his opponent laying on the mat. Several young lions came out with ice bags to tend to the exhausted wrestlers. Liger got up and was kneeling as Helios slowly sat upwards. Liger walked over to his opponent and held out his hand. Helios look up and accepted his hand. Liger helped Helios in standing up on his own two feet. Then, Liger raised the winner's hand and Helios faced his idol to bow down as a sign of respect. Liger did the same and shook his hand. Helios was handed his title and went to one of the corners to the Osaka crowd.
