Away
November 4, 2014Does it ring a bell
If I admit that I can tell
I miss the past 'us'
Way back when neither of us fell
Right now, we're strangers
Our relationship was a fail
When I told him I loved him
His face became pale
Eventually, he told me he was sorry
Because it just wasn't right
"Our friendship has a story
And I must be out of your sight."
Of course, I ran away
And did what he asked
He was out of my sight once for all
And it was a lifetime task
However, he tried finding me
Attempting to win me back
I said, "I am sorry"
Because forgetting him placed me on the right track
Years passed
And finally I slipped away
Because I tried to move on
Every second, every minute and every hour of the day
I came back
And tried to face the world
But unfortunately,
In pain and heartbreak, I hurled
His best friend told me,
"He is gone"
Because of his damn cancer,
His life was unfortunately done
"He loved you," he said
And my brows immediately raised
"He wanted to be out of my sight,
And then, I left for space."
"He didn't want you to be hurt
So he told you one white lie
But when you left for good
He did nothing else but cry"
Tears welled from my eyes
And I tried to keep the pain abay
"He regretted lying,
The moment you slipped away."
