KARA'S POV

I jolted upwards in my bed, panting and gasping for breath. Another nightmare. I sighed, looking around the room and noticed it was still dark out. The nightmares kept getting more frequent even over the course of a few days.

This time I was fighting a woman with some sort of electricity coming out of her hands. hair was like bright white snow and her eyes were dark and piercing. I had a suit with a red skirt and blue long sleeves, then on my chest was some kind of crest with an 's' on it. It felt so real and I swore I could feel the kicks and punches. I rested my head back onto the pillow, and soon enough I fell back asleep.

"Rise and shine, sleepyhead." Alex's voice rang through my ears as the lights turned on, slightly burning my eyes.

"Ughhh! It's so bright!" I groaned and stuffed the pillow on my face. Alex sighed and dropped a bag on the floor beside her, ripping the sheets and pillow off of me.

She folded her arms and raised a brow. "Kara, you need to get up. We have a lot of tests for you to do and you and I have to talk." She turned around and started walking out of the room, so I laid back on the bed starting to close my eyes, but Alex yelled from down the hall in a stern voice. "You better be up and changed in five minutes when I come back."

As soon as Alex said that, I was out of bed and digging through the bag of clothes she brought in. There was a black T-shirt and black military pants as well as a sports bra and underwear. I hurriedly got the clothes on then took the black converse sneakers that were at the bottom of the bag and put them on. I sat on the bed, unsure of where to go and what to do. Moments later, Alex burst into the room with a scowl on her face, which quickly changed into a slight smile.

"Good, you're up. So would you rather have the tests or the talk?"

The talk? I'm guessing the talk isn't a good thing, but the tests will most likely be more miserable and boring... "I-uh..I guess the 'talk' first..?" It sounded more like a question than an answer, but Alex seemed to of ignored it anyways.

She sat beside me on the bed and gave me a fake, sad smile. "Kara...I honestly have no clue how to tell you this but I think it's better you see for yourself. Follow me."

My facial expression changed in confusion and followed Alex downstairs into a room with steel door and a secure lock. After putting in a code, she opened the door, gesturing for me to go first. The room was dim and empty aside from a weird portal looking thing and some computer monitors in the middle of the room.

Alex closed the door behind us and turned to me. "Your name is Kara Zor-El and you are from the planet Krypton. You were sent here, along with your cousin Kal-El, also known as Superman, and when you were 13 after your planet was destroyed. Since then, you lived under a red sun your body's chemistry is much different than ours, so under a yellow sun you have amazing powers."

At this point, my jaw was on the floor and I was never felt so confused in my life. I'm from a different planet?? My cousin is fricking Superman?! And I have superpowers?! That's fricking amazing! "Wait, wait, wait. I'm an alien from another planet and I have superpowers?!"

Alex sighed and looked at the floor almost annoyed at the question. "Yes. Super speed, freeze breath, flying, x-ray vision, microscopic vision, super hearing, super strength, and you're basically bulletproof. And you have one weakness-kryptonite. It's part of your planet and it weakens your powers and can kill you."

Alex checked her phone and her expression quickly changed. "I..uh if you have any more questions ask Allura, the hologram of your mom. I'll be back to start the tests with you later, so just stay here until further notice."
I just silently nodded and watched her hurry out of the room. I can't believe it! I'm an alien with superpowers! Maybe that's how I lost my memory! I was in a huge fight with a supervillain and got extremely hurt, leading me to my current state. To be quite honest, it's not so bad-well except for being cramped up in this boring old place. There's nothing to even do here and nobody talks to me aside from Alex and Winn, but I haven't seen Winn since last night. Wait! Did Alex say, my holographic mother? I looked around the room searching for some sort of button to turn it on but found to no avail. There was nothing. She did say something about her name being Allura so maybe if I...

"Allura..?" I whispered to the room. A small blue flash erupted from the monitor on the floor in the middle of the room, with a beautiful woman in a blue dress and her hair down.

"You called Kara?" She said robotically. That was weird...

I thought for a moment, hesitant about my next words. I could ask this hologram anything about my planet and me, so maybe she knows how I got my self into this mess in the first place. "I...uh wanna know more about Kara Zor-El... can you tell me about her. Oh, and about Krypton."

"Certainly. What do you want to hear about first? Kara Zor-El or our planet Krypton?"

I grinned and sat on the ground like a child about to listen to a grand story. "I want to know everything about my homeland, Allura, everything."

*Hey! I'm not dead! You happy? Sorry this took me so long I had to do tons of school stuff lately but it's settling down so I may be able to get another chapter out by next week or so. Anyways 600 views! Wow! (Not a lot but still!) I'm impressed. Well, did you guys like episode 4 of Supergirl? I'm getting nervous about Lena more and more, but if the writers throw away about four years of Kara and Lena's friendship then that's shitty writing. -In my opinion. Hope you all enjoyed!*
