KARA'S POV
"Ponytail, get in here!" Snapper shouted loudly from his office. I winced at the nickname, that I apparently had for a long time, and slumped into his office. I'd been working in CatCo for the past few days, nonstop. Aside from the few times, I have to be Supergirl around National City.
"Yes?" I mumbled while looking at the ground. Snapper was never in a good mood and he was certainly not in a good mood today. Papers were stacked high on his desk and unreadable scribbles were written on the whiteboard behind him.
He looked up from his laptop, a scowl plastered on his face. "I need you to do another interview on L-Corp's new launch. Dana hasn't been in....and your the best reporter we have..." He muttered the last part and handed me a paper.
I quickly read the paper, then crumped it up with a frown. Snapper looked up, anger burning in his eyes."Uh... Mr. Carr, I can't do this interview. Can't you, just..ask someone else to do it..?" I muttered, ducking my head down nervously. When Snapper got mad, his face would turn red like a beet and he'd yell at the top of his lungs. That was what I was currently waiting for, but luckily it wasn't as bad as I expected.
Snapper gritted his teeth and just pointed to the door of his office with a deathly glare. "If you don't get out of my office in five seconds, I will replace you faster than Supergirl can even run!" He shouted angrily.
Terrified, I hurried out of the office and sprinted to the elevator, grabbing my purse on the way out. There goes my chances of finally getting a chair.

As I entered the L-Corp lobby, my jaw dropped in awe. Since my memory had been wiped, I had no recollection of ever going to L-Corp before. I did stop by to take Ruby here, but I never really got to take in the whole place. It felt familiar in some odd way, and in the back of my mind I knew I'd been there so many times before, but it was just so surreal for me. The entire placed screamed rich and fancy, making me feel slightly underdressed. I guarantee my entire wardrobe costs less than one of the chairs in the lobby.
I walked up to a huge front desk where a small, black-haired woman sat typing away on a computer.
I subtly cleared my throat, making her lookup. She grinned at the sight of me. "Miss. Danvers! Always a pleasure. Are you here for another lunch date with Miss. Luthor?"
Puzzled how the lady knew me and why I would be on a lunch date with the CEO of
L-Corp, I responded quietly. "Oh..I umI'm here for an interview with Miss. Luthor. Oh-I ah I'm from CatCo.."
I lifted my badge and smiled awkwardly at her as she looked at me with a confused look. "Oh ok..you can just go up like always.."
I opened my mouth to reply but I choose against it and smiled at the secretary. I made my way to the sleek elevator across the room. As I went up the elevator, I fiddled with my badge nervously. Clearly, I came to see
Miss. Luthor quite often and the secretary knew my name. She was also the woman who rushed out of my room at the DEO, crying, so she knew my identity. As far as I know, we aren't related and she seems to be avoiding me, according to Alex. But it doesn't make sense. If she knew my identity and cared so much when I got hurt, how exactly did I know her? Alex refused to tell me anything about her, aside from she worked at L-Corp and we were friends. That still doesn't explain my real question. What was I to this woman?
My thoughts were soon interrupted by the sound of the elevator doors, sliding open. I got out, walking to the big grey doors and hesitantly put my hand up to knock. Why was I so goddamn nervous? You can do this Kara!
I knocked quietly. "Umm... Kara Danvers from CatCo Worldwide Media..?"
A soft voice responded and I opened the door to the office. Immediately as I entered the office, a rush of emotions, flooded my mind clouding my train of thought.

The CEO glanced at the newspaper and grinned at the muscular man beside me. 'Thank you, Mr. Kent. This is exactly the kind of press my company needs after yesterday's attack.'
She walked around to the front of her desk and leaned against it, arms folded. 'And thank you for including the part about me, shooting the guy. That'll teach Lex to mess with me. He'll be the laughing stock of cellblock x.'
Clark and I quickly exchanged a glance, then he looked back towards the confident Luthor, chuckling. 'That's not exactly why I wrote it. I wrote it because it's the truth. I was wrong about you Miss.Luthor. I'm sorry.'
Miss.Luthor smiled at the reporter in thanks. 'Well if I can make a believer out of Clark Kent, there's hope yet.'
I ducked my head down, grinning when the CEO turned to me, a smirk plastered on her face. 'What about you Miss.Danvers? I didn't see your name on the byline.'
I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out. I was frozen and lost in those beautiful green pearls. Finally managing to respond, still flustered. 'Uh.. well like I said I'm not a reporter..'
She smiled and raised an eyebrow making my knees go weak. That face would be the death of me. 'You could've fooled me.'
She strode back behind her desk, hiding a slight blush. 'I hope this isn't the last time we talk?'
Her confidence made me feel so small and my face turned bright red. 'I-I hope not either.'

I snapped back to reality and I felt light-headed. Where was I? I looked around, realizing I was still in Miss. Luthor's office. Was..was that a memory..? I...maybe that's how we met but that felt so real like, I was really there..."Are you going to stand there all day with your mouth hanging open, Miss.Danvers or are you going to interview me?"
I looked over at the CEO raising her eyebrow at me who seemed to have an annoyed expression on her face."I-I..uh sorry just, I just lost my train of thought.." I muttered while shuffling towards the chair across from her desk.
She closed her laptop and stacked a few papers in the corner of her desk. She sighed and looked at me, clearly exhausted from overworking. Her fair skin almost made her look like a porcelain doll and her lipstick showed off her power. What really stood out were her green eyes. Her eyes were like emeralds shinning in her head. The only thing spinning through my mind right now was the gorgeous CEO in front of me."I..uh well...I um, first question." I stuttered while yanking out my notebook from my purse. The Luthor only continued staring at me with a bored tone while I was a stuttering mess. This interview was going to be a disaster.
"H-how is this new engine design different then uh your previous one..?" I finally managed to blurt out, while self consciously fidgeting with my glasses.
Miss. Luthor sat back in her chair. "Well first off, it runs about ten times faster than the design we originally designed. That was created only about two months ago. I had made sure it was tested for weeks until I was finally satisfied with the results. After hours of nonstop testing, we managed to develop an engine so powerful, it can go nearly 3,000 horses. That's 1,650 more horses than a Bugatti Veyron."
I scribbled down the rest of the notes before continuing. I tried to read off the next question, but soon my head started to throb as more memories in the office flooded my head. "Wha..what are.."
My palms felt sweaty and the room suddenly became hotter. The intimidating gaze of the CEO almost burned holes right through me. My eyes darted around the room nervously and suddenly I stood up."I..uh I need to go.." Miss. Luthor looked puzzled as I hurriedly gathered all my things. "I'm..um sorry.." I rushed out of the room and whipped my glasses off, flying straight to the DEO. I need to find answers and I needed them now. I had to find Alex.
