*What's up everyone, it's jaywrites21! My kid (purplepie) wanted some help finishing this story for reasons they should tell if they want to, totally up to her. AND JUST TO BE CLEAR: this is not my story. I'm only helping writing the story because they asked for it and this is their story. I've only made a few contributions so do not give me all the credit.

This is almost the end of this story and... I can't promise it'll be a happy ending because the creator wants what she wants and my kid wants to be the angsty teen they are. Anyway don't forget we're not doing POVs anymore because (and I quote) purplepie said "because I'm lazy and don't like writing in that way 😀" ANYWAY we hope you enjoy this shit show

btw warning for mention of suicide*

The past week had been busy for everyone in the DEO. Alex and the rest of the DEO swat team had completely searched Lena's penthouse, building, and laboratory, top to bottom for any more clues regarding the whereabouts of Lillian. The team only had found the hard drive Lena mentioned and camera footage of conversations between the two Luthors hidden on secret L-Corp files. But other than that, no other evidence had been found.

Winn and Brainy had scrounged up every single lead they could on the computers, searching every inch of the L-Corp database. Hell, Lena even allowed them to search through her personal laptop to see if there were any other secret traces of Lillian that were left behind. Even there, nothing was found.

Kara and J'onn had scanned the city every day of the week looking for someplace the snake could be hiding. While they were out, Alex kept kryptonite radiation scanners on 24/7 in case she decided to show her face once and for all. Again, no such luck.

Alex and Kara have been on thin ice with each other lately. Kara knew Alex was only doing her job when it came to Lena and this whole situation, but it was still annoying as hell for her to be skeptical about Lena when it's clear her intentions lately have only been good and for their side. But still, Kara was surprised when Alex said she wanted to talk.

When Kara opened the door, Alex almost winced at the stare her sister gave her. Yeah, she was used to the sourness she always got from Kara when they weren't on the same page, but this? This was a completely different situation.

She stepped aside to let Alex in, watching as her sister calculated her words in her head.

Alex sighed, turning around to face her. "I need your help."

"With what?" she bit out. Yeah, Kara was not having it.

"Two things. I need to know if Lena has more kryptonite."

"Alex, what the hell? Why can't you just ask her yourself?"

"She's literally only talking to you and then the DEO when it's necessary," Alex points out. "What makes you think that she'll want to talk to me?"

"We've been working on that, actually." Kara nods her head over to her bedroom and Lena's leaning against the doorframe. And now Alex feels like the world's biggest jerk. Of course Lena would be here. "When all of this is over, we all obviously need to get on the same page and can't be salty and bitter with each other, regardless of what's happened."

"Who would've thought my little sister would be this mature for situations like these?" Alex teases, getting the smallest of smiles from the blonde. She looks back at Lena with a sympathetic smile. "How are you?"

"Regarding the fact that I haven't had an assassination attempt in a while and no longer am suicidal?" She shrugs. "Fine."

Alex grimaces. "Not what I was expecting, but okay. I need to know—"
