Chapter 9

Sabrina's POV

As class went by, I couldn't help but feel distrust to Taylor. She was lying about something. Something was off.

Although I wanted to trust her. She was so nice and kind, why would she hide something? And if she did, maybe it was personal...maybe I was just being paranoid.

Whatever it was, I just decided to stay on guard. You could never be too sure...

When class ended, Taylor gave me a wave and walked in the opposite direction that I was going. I gave her a curt nod and began my way to gym.

On the way, someone bumped into me.

"Sup Grimm." Puck said as he nudged me with his elbow. In his hands he carried literally 2 books.

"Where is all your stuff?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. Here I was carrying 4 notebooks, 3 folders, and a binder. Not to mention my pencil pouch.

Puck shrugged.

"Why suffer? All that stuff is too heavy. I don't even need all of that stuff." He replied. I rolled my eyes. Classic. He thought anything that involved a book was suffering.

Suddenly his joking manner went away as he glanced around as if someone was watching and or listening.

"Did you find anything on those things?" He asked. I sighed, my mood changing instantly.

"No. Not even a bit. And I tried everything! From Myths to story's to history, and still nada!" I whispered. "We just don't know that much about them to confirm what they are."

Puck nodded.

"Maybe we can investigate today." He suggested. I agreed.

"We just need to make sure no one knows what we're up to."

"What're you guys up to?!" A voice said from behind us. I jumped and turned to see Brandon with a smile.

"Nothing...why what makes you think we're up to something?" I asked, trying to be cool. Brandon gestured between me and the blond beside me.

"Oh cuz a cute couple whispering in the halls totally doesn't mean something is happening." He laughed. Puck gave him a disgust look. As if dating me was the worst thing ever. I rolled my eyes.

For some reason I felt this pang in my chest. What the hell? Because he made that face, I snorted.

"Me? And him? A couple? Ha! You're on something." I replied. Puck pushed my shoulder, gently but just enough to lead me to bump into another student.

"Yeah Grimm is awful! I could never date her!" He said, as I apologized to the girl I hit. He said it in a playful way...which made my stomach flip for some reason.

Am I sick? I have to be sick..right?

I rolled my eyes at him and crossed my arms.

"As if I would date you!" I cried. Brandon chuckled and gave me a look. To which I scoffed.

We made it to the gym and sat in what our teacher called squads. (A/N anyone else called it that?) I sat down and went onto my phone. My eyes scanned onto a certain notification.

Because I lived in a family of detectives, I was convinced to get an app that consisted of the activities happening in our town. It made it easier to find the weird mysteries.

How it worked was people that lived in the town could have the app. And when something was wrong or something weird happened, they'd create a post describing their sightings.

The app said that the mayor would see it and investigate...but actually it was the Grimm's. Well the Grimm's with some help from Mayor Snow White and her team of authorities.

But it wasn't the notification of the app that caught my attention. No, it was the words on the notification that got my heart and mind racing.

Hello to the community of Ferryport Landing. My husband and I have been living here for 2 years and something strange has just occurred. My four year old daughter leaves a plate of leftovers for this stray cat. In the middle of last night, I heard a growling noise. I thought it was nothing so ignored it. But then when I woke up this morning I saw right beside the plate of food, these grey pieces of stone. They were all over the place and made a trail to the forest.
Has this happened to anyone before?

Grey, check.
Growling, check.

Now there's more. They were stone?

I quickly searched it on Google, cuz why not?

Grey stone creatures. And what came up was gargoyles.

Gargoyles? Is that even possible?

Our teacher started talking so I quickly saved everything I found and I took screenshots of the post.

Now I just need to wait till Puck and I can investigate. So for now, I my mind just races about the possibilities we could find.

Heyyyy guys. I know I said I was going to update so so soon...
And then it took me like a month to update. Soo again I'm really sorry. Heh I'm just so busy lately and tbh I had writers block. But yeah thank you guys and (hopefully) I'll figure out some sort of schedule.
