Sabrina's POV

I stared at the grassy ground which was covered in little pieces of grey. There was so much more than what the picture had shown. This had to be some kind of monster. I glanced at Puck to find him looking at me, his eyes held the same question.

What monster?

I tore my glance away from him as I began inspecting the pieces. I picked up a shard only to put it down again. The edges were as sharp as a knife and pricked my finger.

I winced a bit, but was glad to find it didn't break enough skin for it to bleed.

"Did you see what it was?" Puck asked, hands in his pockets. The older woman shook her head.

"No...I had asked my daughter about it, since she's the one that puts out the food, but she just kept telling me about these..." her voice faltered as she sighed. "She just wasn't taking it seriously and was making things up. Which is common for a four year old."

Puck and I glanced at each other once more. Sure a monster or creature that was magical may seem make believe to an adult, but honestly she could have been telling the truth. Which oddly enough was scary.

"Is your daughter home?" Charming asked. "After all, there's always a bit of reality in fiction." He flashed a smile and June's cheeks reddened slightly. I rolled my eyes and turns back to the mess.

"Uh no...my uh, ahem, husband took her out to get dinner. I got home from work late, which is why I'm not with them." She responded. I looked at Charming and gave him a pleading look to take her inside while Puck and I actually find out what happened.

Luckily, he understood and nodded to me. He turned back to June and gave her a dazzling smile.

"Why don't we head inside to talk more about this. My..." he paused, "workers will just take some observations out here if that's alright with you?"

I rolled my eyes at the word "workers" even though we brought him with us. But June bought it and nodded, smiling kindly.

"Of course, whatever you think best!" She replied as she led him back inside the house, shutting the door.

I looked at Puck who was squinting at the piece.

"What are you trying to think about?" I asked teasingly. He chuckled, a small smirk appearing before getting serious again.

"This doesn't makes sense though...I mean these are stone...stones...can't eat...right?" He glanced at me with a puzzled expression. But all I could do was shrug.

I mean, I guess it was possible. But it did seem weird. But everything about this town was weird so what else was new?

All of a sudden we heard a shout.

"Sabrina! Robin!" A voice called. And I rolled my eyes, recognizing the voice.

Daphne.

And just as she saw me over the small wooden fence. Her and 3 others; Red, Brandon, and Taylor.

Wait what!

I glanced over at Puck nervously. He gave me a look of "just relax," but I was afraid I was way past that. I was nervous. To put my sisters in danger and Taylor or Brandon, who had no clue what any of this was about.

Brandon simply maneuvered over the gate as Taylor and Red hopped over. Daphne struggled as she pulled one leg over, and slowly the other. Taylor giggled as she helped the young girl out.

"What are you guys doing here?" Brandon asked.

"Working with the mayor." I answered.

"Nothing." Puck responded at the same time. I glared at him and he gave me an apologetic look.

"Uh huh," Taylor said obviously not believing a word. "And what exactly is the mayor want with two freshmen?"

"Long story." I closed. "Anyways, you guys should go, it's gonna take Robin and I a long time to handle-"

"Handle what?" Brandon asked. "Why are you guys being so secretive?"

"Doesn't matter-bye!" Puck added as he shuffled Taylor and Brandon back to the gate with his arms.

"You two, home. Now." I commanded, pointing at Daphne and Red.

"What no!" Red cried, but just loud enough for the three of us to hear. "We want help."

"With whatever we can!" Daphne added. I shook my head.

"We don't even know-"

Then a sound came from the woods. All of our heads turned to the trees.

"What was that?" Taylor asked.

"I...don't know." I replied as I carefully grabbed an arm of each of my sister, pulling them slowly to me.

Another noise, more like a growl...and not by a person. The noise got louder...and the rustles in the trees sounded more near.

"Go.." I whispered to my sisters, gently pushing them back. My eyes were focused on the trees. Then medium sized creatures trudged their way out of the shadows. "Go!" I yelled, now knowing that we were over our heads.
