Soobin throws his pen down as soon as his teacher announces that the test had concluded. Wiping away a bead of sweat on his forehead, Soobin felt relieved as all the questions were those he had studied for.

Until he realised it was lunch.

Soobin sighs as he packs up his things, and makes his way to the cafeteria.

Back to Yeonjun

Yeonjun pulls the cigarette out from his mouth and check the time on his watch.

Lessons were over, finally. He thought.

He tosses the stick onto the ground and walks into the school building, ready to act out a dramatic scene.

The cafeteria was usually for kids to eat, talk or do other high school things kids do. But today, it's Yeonjun's stage. Like Soobin told him, they had to go to the middle of the room. He starts to make his way there.

As Yeonjun walks, he notices people around him whispering. He strains his ears to catch, "I was told he uses people to get what he wants."

The boy goes stiff for half a second, and continues walking to his destination. He could already see Soobin standing there, phone in hand. The man giant doesn't see the people around him, getting ready to pick on him. Yeonjun runs to him, hoping to 'save' Soobin.

Too late.

"Hey Choi, you got a boyfriend?" some kid called Seonjae asks the taller boy. It's almost funny, how Soobin looks down at his attacker.

Back to Soobin

Soobin looks down at Seonjae after hearing him asking something. "I'm sorry, could you repeat what you asked?" he genuinely doesn't know. Someone behind him snorted.

"I said, you got a boyfriend?" Seonjae repeats, slightly annoyed. "No, I'm single."

"You sure about that?" he sneers, showing him the picture he tries so hard to forget.

"That isn't true. We're just friends, nothing more." he says, pushing Seonjae's hand away and forcing himself not to look at the phone held in it. "Yeah, like I'd believe that crap. You two probably make out in the restrooms during class." Seonjae laughs, and his other snarky friends do the same.

"No, we do not. Now go fuck yourself." Soobin steps backwards, allowing Yeonjun to tell Seonjae how to not be an idiot. This is not what he had in mind, but it seems like it is working. Kids around them began to cheer Yeonjun on.

Seonjae, afraid of destroying his reputation, accepts defeat. "Okay, okay, relax. Just wanted confirmation." he walks away, his mindless friends trailing after him. Soobin sighs in relief. No one in their right mind wanted their image damaged.

"You okay?" Yeonjun looks up at the taller boy. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for that." Soobin smiles down at Yeonjun. "So.. we still doing that plan?" the older asks. "Nah, everyone's convinced we're just friends."

But not everyone.

Back to Yeonjun

"We're just friends. Nothing else." Soobin tells Seonjae, cracking Yeonjun's heart a little. "Yeah, like I'd believe that crap. You two probably make out in the restrooms during class." the bully laughs.

Stupid Seonjae.

"No, we do not. Now go fuck yourself." Yeonjun stands in front of Soobin, protecting him from this fight. With his arms crossed, face with an expression cold enough to give you frostbite, lifeless eyes and dark aura radiating off him, Yeonjun looks scary and intimidating, ready to kill.

It was no wonder Seonjae decided to give up. As he walks away, Yeonjun asks Soobin, "You okay?" Soobin smiles at him, melting his confused heart. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for that."

"So.. we still doing that plan?" the shorter asks. "Nah, everyone's convinced we're just friends." Soobin smiles down at Yeonjun, making his heart skip a beat. "So.. wanna hang out..? Or something?" he tries to ask.

"Maybe we could get out of here, there's way too many people and I'm not one to like crowded places. Let's go to the soccer field." Soobin takes Yeonjun's hand and pulls him along, making him turn red. At least they were past strangers.

Back to Soobin

Yeonjun and Soobin sit on the fake grass, a calm breeze lifting their hair slightly. It felt nice, despite the silence between the two.

Someone broke the silence.

"Hyung! I saw you go up against Seonjae to protect that guy—!" Hueningkai stops talking and sees Soobin, a little startled by him. "Whoops, sorry, didn't see you there..?" he pauses, waiting for the taller to say his name. "I'm Soobin.." he says awkwardly.

Hueningkai widens his eyes for a second, then puts on a teasing look and looks at Yeonjun. "Oh, I see. Well, it was nice meeting you, Soobin-ssi, but I think both of you are busy right now, so.. I'm gonna leave you two alone. See ya!" the younger grins and runs away, leaving Yeonjun with a frustrated yet flustered face and Soobin with a lot of confusion.

"He didn't even tell me his name.." Soobin turns to face the other, "..is that one of your friends? Perhaps that 'Huekai-ah?'" Yeonjun sighs and cups his face in his hands. "Yeah, he can be a little enthusiastic and weird like that sometimes, but he's still my friend." he pulls out another cigarette and lights it before inhaling it.

Soobin just stared at him with a dumbfounded look. "We're on school grounds. Shouldn't we not be allowed to smoke?" The older just shrugs.

They stayed like that for a while, making small talk and managing to forget about classes starting again, before they were spotted by a teacher and got 'sentenced to' detention.

Neither of them minded though. They were perfectly content with each other's company. Yeonjun, a little too much.
