This may not seem like much but I love you guys and thanks for reading until now 🥺
____________________________Yeonjun had locked himself in his room for hours after leaving the school suspended for three days. His three friends had tried to get him to come out after school had ended, but ended up being unsuccessful.
He's been lying on his bed, looking up at the ceiling blankly. It was one of those times when he couldn't feel happy or sad. Although he had already gotten used to it, he still hated that empty feeling, and the fact that depressed people get it all the time.
And that he missed work.
"Hyung? Please come out, we're all worried about you. Don't lock yourself away from us." the slightly muffled and small voice of Taehyun says. "Later." Yeonjun replies blankly. He pauses to hear footsteps hesitating to leave, but they eventually fade away.
He checks his phone again.

..I seem to be the one hurting you.
Back to Soobin
Soobin stares at his phone. His head was still bandaged, so he had to rest lying down, resulting in the object to keep dropping onto his already bruised face.
He sighs and turns off his phone.
Was there something I did wrong? Is he mad at me? Why isn't he answering and leaving me on read?
He decides to take matters into his hands. Grabbing the device, he dials in Yeonjun's number and lifts it up to his ear.
One ring.
Two rings.
"..Soobin? Why're you calling me?" the faint voice could be heard from the other end. "Hyung, are you okay? Why are you leaving me on read? Did I do something wrong?" he asks worriedly.
Shit, he thinks I hate him.
Changing his monotone voice into a cheerful one, he says, "Of course you didn't! I was just a little lazy to reply, if you know what I mean!" Yeonjun adds a small giggle at the end.
Relieved, Soobin replies. "You scared me for a moment there, pabo! Don't do that again!" Yeonjun internally smiles. His act was convincing enough. "Sorry, I won't do that again! Promise."
"Okay." Yeonjun hangs up and sighs again.
I better get out. Those crackheads aren't gonna last for long without me. Oh, I'm feeling again! About time!
He opens his room door only for Hueningkai to jump onto him and tackle him into the floor. "Oh, sorry, Hyung! Uh.. how are you feeling?" he asks, embarrassed, as he helps the other up.
"I was feeling great, but now, I don't think I'm feeling so good." Yeonjun dramatically puts the back of his left hand on his forehead while his friends stare at him, disappointed.
"Oh come on, couldn't you try to pretend to find that funny?" he rolls his eyes playfully and walks out of the room.
"I think he hit his head too hard."
The next day
Back to Soobin
"He looks like an Egyptian mummy. I'm honestly worried for him, he's still trying to help me do housework when he should be sleeping." Soobin's mother talks on the phone with her friend as her son, who had healed a bit more, wipes the windows.
"Oh, okay, bye." she hangs up. "Soobin, why don't you go and get some rest? I can handle the work by myself, and-" she was cut off. "Eomma, I've already told you, I'm fine, okay? You should be the one resting." he tells her as he ushers her to her bedroom.
As soon as he got her to stay put, he goes to do whatever it is that he does, or as Ae-Ri says, 'Soobining around'. He plugs in his earpieces and starts to pick a song from his favourite band, "방탄서년단" or BTS for short, to sing along to.
Soobin chooses a calm song, he doesn't feel in the mood for a hype one. "The Truth Untold" is the name of the song that he had chosen. Listening to the soft voice of the singer, he starts to sing along to it.
With his earpieces temporarily taking away his sense of hearing, he doesn't hear his own melodious and calm voice forming the heart-wrenching lyrics perfectly.
He also doesn't hear the scraping of his window being opened by someone. Soobin feels a tap on his back, and immediately stops singing and falls onto the floor.
He removes his earpieces and glares at his intruder, who looks sheepish. "Nice singing, Soobin Hyung." Beomgyu says cheerfully. "It's a shame you chose to enroll in high school with that voice of yours."
The older male just stands there, bewildered and holding his stuff in his hands while standing there, like an idiot. "Why are you flirting with me? Aren't you taken?" he asks.
"I'm practicing, sheesh. Anyway, Yeonjun told me to come and get you. We're going out." he says, climbing into Soobin's bed and making himself comfortable as the boy himself stares in disgust.
"Out? Out where?" He's afraid to leave his mother alone. "It doesn't matter. Hurry up, would you? Me, Ning and Tae skipped school for this."
After thinking, Soobin quickly scribbles down a small note telling his mother that he'd be out with 'some friends' and not to worry about him.
"How's your head?" Beomgyu asks, concerned. "It hurts a little but it's otherwise fine. Didn't expect you of all people to ask, actually." The other replies. "So why don't you take those bandages off? You look really stupid in them."
Offended, Soobin starts to slip the rough tissue off his head and throws it in the trash. "There. Now do I look stupid?" he says, clearly irritated. The living chestnut giggles a little before replying, "..yeah. A little."
And let's just say someone got hurt.
