The girl is raging. She's shaking, panting heavily and her fists are clenched tight. Out of anger, she launches a weak kick to her opponent, who was a male and older than her, allowing him to dodge it and attack.
He initiated a strong punch to her stomach, followed by a kick to her chest. She stumbles backwards, holding her middle area tightly. "I'm not wasting my time on you, you motherfucker. Let's just go." she growls and sashays out of the place, her minions following her like lost chickens.
Beomgyu stood there with a triumphant grin on his face, not realising he was still the centre of attention. He also didn't realise Yeonjun was crying. "Let's just go, Beomgyu." Taehyun pushes him to the exit and the others followed. "Wait- why? What's wrong?" he manages to ask as Taehyun shoves him towards the door.
"Well, this is a mess." Hueningkai looks exasperated, hands running through his hair. "That stupid bitch just had to come in at that time." The poor blue haired boy has his head on Soobin's shoulder, trying his best to keep more tears from gushing out. "I'm really sorry, guys, she recognised me. It's my fault."
"Aish, Hyung, it isn't your fault. Don't blame yourself for everything all the time." Soobin strokes the soft dyed hair of his friend, reassuring him. "But this time it really is-" "Shh. Not another word from you. It isn't your fault. Periodt." he puts a finger on the shorter's lips, quieting him down.
"But-" "No." Giving up, Yeonjun sighs, "..okay." Satisfied, he turns to face Beomgyu. "What were you thinking back there? Did you want them to call the cops? My god, and Hyung here is crying.."
"Sorry, I guess I got lost in the moment, heh.." Beomgyu grins embarrassingly. Almost everyone sighed, the exception being Yeonjun. "You stupid, stupid chestnut head. Always getting yourself into trouble." Taehyun lightly slaps the boy's shoulder, but it was impossible to notice the smile making its way onto his face.
"What are we going to do now? There isn't really anywhere else to go." The multiracial boy asks. "Uh.. it's getting kind of late—6pm—so I think we should go home now." Soobin says, checking his watch. "You go home that early?! How do you live like that?" Yeonjun exclaims, pulling himself out of Soobin's hold slightly to stare at him in disbelief.
"My mom gets worried sometimes, and she's probably wondering where I am now. Don't worry, I have a whole book of excuses." he shows his dimple smile and turns to walk back, but was stopped by a blueberry head grabbing his arm.
"Wait. I have to tell you something."
Finally.
"Follow me. Let's go somewhere private." he smiles wide, pulling and almost popping out the arm of the taller. With no choice, Soobin follows along, leaving the remaining three behind standing in the middle of the pavement.
Soobin is dragged to the top of a small hill, right beside a tree that blooms small pretty white flowers. The view of the sunset from there is a mix of colours, red, orange, yellow and blue at the same time. Never realising that the four made such a good combination, he stares at it in awe, not even seeing Yeonjun admiring his amazed face.
"Hey, you done?" he tries to get the younger's attention. "Oh! Yeah, it's just that everything is really pretty here. There also aren't any people here. It's kind of relaxing. What were you saying?" he snaps out of his trance. Letting out a soft laugh, the other looks around as well. "I wouldn't blame you. This view is really enchanting, it might even fool you into thinking everything is alright, which is mostly why I chose this place."
His face showing concern, Soobin puts his hand on his hyung's shoulder, startling him. "What's wrong? I'm here to talk." Smiling, he shakes his head lightly. "I just wanted to show you this place, in case you're sad and I'm.. unavailable." "Really? Thank you, Hyung." he grins.
The two stand under the tree, waiting for each other to say something. As always, a soft breeze blew against their faces calmly and made their ears red. Coincidentally, orange, yellow and red leaves from the tree started to fall, making the atmosphere more comfortable.
"I..uh.." Yeonjun speaks up. "Yeah?" Soobin asks. "I said that I wanted to talk to you about something.." "Sure, what is it you want to say?"
Spit it out, you coward.
"I... I think I like you." The taller smiles. "I know. I like you too." "No, no.. not that like. I mean.. like, like."
Silence.
"Haha, that's such a funny joke, Yeonjun Hyung! You almost got me there, but it won't happen again!" Soobin burst into laughter, not realising he had just broke a heart.
"I'm not joking, Soobin. I really do have feelings for you." Yeonjun seriously looks at him. "Oh.."
Again, silence.
The blue haired boy awaits the response of the other, handing over his fragile, oh so fragile heart to the other, hoping that this time, it wouldn't get broken again, just like all those other times before.
But sometimes, you can't trust someone you just met. Especially with something as precious as that. Instead of taking the heart, he pushes it out of the older's pale hands.
Breaking it.
Shattering it.
Destroying it.
"I'm sorry, but I don't really feel the same way.. I'd prefer us to be just friends." he looks down and fiddles with his fingers uncomfortably.
"...what?" Yeonjun looks down at his fragmented organ, once again damaged by someone. He should have known. Falling for people too fast can lead to a bad ending.
"You know what? I don't want to hear it. It's my fault. I fell for you too fast." he gathers the bits of his heart up, not bothering to fix it. "No, I-" the other tries to protest, but he had already ran off.
"I didn't mean to break your heart."
