______________________________Back to Yeonjun
Yeonjun immediately stops blow drying his hair and brushes it(he just finished bathing). In a few minutes, he grabs his phone and wallet and goes to the front door. "Hyung, where are you going this early in the morning?" Kai asks, halfway down the stairs. "Don't you worry, I'm just meeting Soobin at the arcade. Anyways, it's 10:30, not early at all." Yeonjun smiles at him and walks out the door.
Kai sighs and rubbed his forehead. "This is why I hate Sundays... everything sucks today."
The blue haired male has a skip in his step as he heads to his destination. He was excited to have his second 'date' with a certain bread-loving boy.
But wait, isn't it out third? That one time we met in the café counts, doesn't it? Ah, screw it, it's another time I get to see Soobin's face. Yeonjun thinks with a smile on his face as he takes out yet another cigarette and lights it.
Third person POV
Waiting at the arcade, Soobin suddenly sees Yeonjun, his friend, looking at his phone while inhaling smoke. He's about to call out to him when he hesitates for a while. Taking a closer look at his Hyung's face, he realises that his Hyung is actually really good looking.
It is no wonder there are girls following him from behind. Soobin frowns. Yeonjun notices him at the arcade's entrance and shoots him a smile before realising that his crush was glaring in his direction.
Is it because I'm late? Is that why he's glaring at me like that?
...
Wait a minute.
The blue haired male looks behind him to see girls around his age trying to follow him secretly, but failing very badly indeed. He then smirks to himself and continues walking in Soobin's direction, totally ignoring anyone following him.
"Hey Soobinie. Whatcha looking at?" he suddenly asks. The younger male snapped out of his mental jealousy rant, totally confused. "What? Oh hi Hyung. Didn't see you there." he says quickly, not being suspicious at all. Yeonjun chuckles a little and puts his hands on his OWN hips. "Are you jealous of people trying to steal your best friend from you?" he teases.
"No, you're too short for me to notice you." Soobin replies, obviously trying to act all mean and strong when in reality he was just- "-an adorable squishy coconut giant." Yeonjun coos, reaching up to squeeze Soobin's cheeks, annoying the younger again.
"...fine. Those girls won't steal you from me, you're all I've got." Soobin huffs as he walks in the arcade.
Such a lucky guy. Everyone likes him and he's so freaking popular. I'm really nobody, aren't I?
"Binnie? Hellooo? You there?" Yeonjun waves his hand in front of the younger's face. "Wha-? Um.. yeah sure, whatever." he quickly answers, having not paid attention to what the older was saying. Yeonjun sighs and rolls his eyes. "You're still salty?"
"Salty? What's that supposed to mean?" Soobin asks, still a little upset. "Haha, dummy. It's another word for jealous." the shorter male replies and turns around to finish collecting the tokens. "..oh." Soobin mumbles.
For the next two hours, the males had the time of their life playing every single game in the arcade. Sure, Yeonjun beat Soobin in every multiplayer game, but it was still enjoyable for them. Yeonjun also found out that Soobin was terrible at sports and hit himself with a basketball.
"That was fun. What'd you think, my dongsaengie?" Yeonjun looks up at the taller male, awaiting a reply. "My face still hurts." Soobin grumbles, rubbing his left cheek. "Oh, are you okay? Do you want to come over to Hueningkai's?" the older's expression changed in a flash. "Um, no, I'm perfectly fine, I-" Before the younger could continue, Yeonjun was already holding his free hand and dragging him along.
"Choi Yeonjun, no one fucking allowed you to bring people over." Beomgyu, arms folded, says to a certain someone holding a startled bunny's hand. "He's injured, Beomie. It'll just be a while before he goes, okay?" Yeonjun tries to relax the chestnut headed boy.
Beomgyu sighs. "All right, but this house belongs to us orphans, so-" "You didn't tell me you and them have no parents!" Soobin interrupts worriedly, looking at Yeonjun like a surprised and anxious look. "..uh.. I'll explain later. Just get in." the oldest among the four pushes Soobin in and shuts the door behind them.
As soon as Beomgyu leaves to go upstairs, the bunny bombarded the blue haired male with many questions. "Why didn't you tell me this? Are you all able to survive? Do you need anyone to help? I can give you money! Just ask whenever!" Yeonjun grimaces a little and sits down on the sofa, motioning for Soobin to sit beside him.
He plops himself down and faces his Hyung. "Tell me. Why'd you keep this a secret from me?" The older male sighs and pulls both legs into his chest, arms wrapped around himself. "Well, um.. I didn't think that you'd want to be with me if you found out my parents disowned me, and my three other friends." Soobin rubs his forehead, sighing.
"I won't judge you at all, Hyung. Of course not. Why would I?" "Because.. many people tend to do that... which is how I became like this."
Yeonjun walked through the halls at school, keeping his head down so he wouldn't have to make eye contact with anyone. He could hear the frequent whispers of the students around him, saying things like, "Did you know his parents left him?" "Such a poor kid. Must be such a nuisance to them." "He should just die. No one loves him anyway."
The usual sobbing sounds could be heard from the janitor's closet. Yeonjun sits in the far corner away from the door in order not to be heard, but to no avail. His cries could be heard by people walking past. Thankfully, a good hearted boy was walking past and heard Yeonjun's crying. He opened the janitor closet's door to see a small-looking kid curled up in a ball.
"Hey, are you okay? What's wrong?" the boy asked. The other lifts his head and wipes his tears away. "People criticise me because I don't have a proper family. Why am I even living? What am I supposed to gain out of this?" Yeonjun croaked.
The boy closed the door and walks over to comfort the older. "Hey, don't say that. I'll let you live with me, my sister and my other two friends if you want." he shoots Yeonjun a comforting smile and hugs him. "I'm here. Someone cares, alright?"
"Oh, by the way, my name's Hueningkai."
