Chapter 9 - Girlfriend.

Chris is fourteen now. Sorry if you are finding it too fast but I promise this will be better as I have a lot of ideas. He will be fourteen for a couple of chapters :)

Chris was lying on his bed, sighing softly up towards the ceiling. Today has just been a great day for him. It's just been, great.

A knock was heard on the door and Jack slips into his room. "So, I've heard some news about you"

Chris suddenly sits up straight "w-what news??"

"Well..." Jack trails off sitting on the edge of the bed "one of my colleagues was watching outside the window, taking in the outside world of London. When he's sees a boy, that looks like you. Holding a girl’s hand. Got something to tell me Chris?"

Chris sighs before replying "yes I'm going out with someone"

"I knew it" Jack smiles "who is it?"

"It's... Amber" Chris says smiling brightly.

"Aww your friend in nursery" Jack says pinching his cheek; Chris whacks his father’s hands away, telling him to stop.

"Yeah I think we have a connection" Chris tells him, smiling like crazy.

"So…" Jack made himself comfortable "what happened?"

"Well...."

Few hours before...

"Chris may I ask you something" Amber says as Chris was sorting out his books for class. It was there last class of the day, science.

"Uh yeah go on" Chris says placing the books in his lap.

"D-do you have feelings for anyone?" Amber asks.

He hasn't really thought about anyone. So it's best to tell her the truth. "Uh no I haven't really thought about girls yet"

"Oh"

Oh? Something’s up. Chris can tell "what's wrong do you have one?"

Silence

"Amber?"

Silence

"Oh my god you do!!"

Amber blushes picking at a thread at the bottom of her skirt. "Uh yeah I do"

"Who is it?"

She shakes her head quickly "oh I can't say"

"Amber we tell each other everything. Come on you can tell me"

"Uh I-it's you Chris. I like you"

Chris looks shocked; you haven't seen him this shocked until now. "Oh right"

"Oh right? That's all you can say" Amber says slightly hurt.

"I've gotta go sorry" Chris says placing his bag on his back quickly before starting to walk away.

"Chris?!? Chris!!"

He ignores her calls and hurries to class. He needed time to think.

He ignores the teacher who was speaking and stares into space. Amber liked him? Someone actually likes him.

Does he have feelings back? I mean he stares at her more in these past weeks. He smiles when she does something stupid. Also his heart flutters whenever she smiles or laughs.

His eyes widen. He likes Amber. Oh my god she's probably heartbroken.

"Chris. Work."

"Sorry miss" Chris mumbles writing down the stuff that was on the board.

At the end of school. Chris runs to where he meets amber after school so they can walk home together. He sees her standing there. Her hands on the straps of her bag while she's standing on the balls of her feet. Chris pushes his glasses up his nose before walking over to her "Amber I have something really important to tell you!!"

"Really? What is it?" Amber says not clearly bothered.

"I like someone" Chris states.

Amber gives him a small smile "really? Who?"

Chris leans down and kisses her cheek before holding her hand "I like you Amber"

The biggest smile appeared on her face...

*present time*

Chris sighs dreamily "we got a date tonight. I'm just so happy"

Ianto, who came in halfway through the story and was sitting on his husbands lap, says "aww Chris"

"Shut up" Chris mumbles. His cheeks forming into a crimson red.

"Well were happy for you" Jack says "so when the date"

"5:30" Chris says.

"Chris..." Ianto trails off "it's 5"

Chris looks at them wide eyed "oh god" he rushes out if his room to the bathroom.

"Our little man is growing up" Jack says resting his head on Ianto's chest.

"And we'll never grow older with him" Ianto replies to him, kissing Jack's head softly.

The date, well for them two it was perfect.

Chris went for something casual. A red and black flannel top. Jeans and a beanie. While Amber went for a like pink cupcake skirt and a pink t-shirt.

They just walked around town. Holding hands going into shops and having a look around. People in the streets were giving them the looks of awe.

They had a blast.

"So" Chris says "Amber would you like to be my girlfriend?"

"I though you never asked" Amber says smiling.

They kissed. There first kiss was with each other. It was magical. They both felt sparks.

Aww Chris has a girlfriend…

But I have something coming up that might tear them apart…
