Chapter 19 - future.

Chris was eighteen now, about to leave school.

Where's Alec, well he headed off to sporting school but don't worry their trying a long distance relationship.

It was a month before Chris was leaving and he had no idea where to go. He knows he has Torchwood but, he wants to do something outside that.

Jack opens the door and sighs to see Chris looking at college brochures "you okay?"

"I'm fine" Chris says looking down at the brochures "it's just so hard"

"You know there's Torchwood if you need it" Jack assures him.

"I know dad" Chris smiles "I just wish someone could help me"

"Maybe someone can" Jack smirks pushing to door wider and Chris smiles brightly as he sees Alec.

"Alec" Chris gasp happily jumping into the boys arms.

"I'm gonna go" Jack says awkwardly leaving the two boys behind and walking to the kitchen.

He sees Ianto cooking dinner and sneaks up behind him wrapping his arms around his waist.

Ianto gasps "Jesus Jack you scared the bloody life out of me"

"I can't believe our sons grown up" Jack says placing his chin on his husbands shoulder "I mean he's off and about now looking for colleges and he's found someone who could take care of him. It's ridiculous how much time flies"

Ianto places his hands on Jack's leaning back "well I guess we have the memories"

"Exactly" Jack mumbles as the older lovers watch the view of Cardiff from their window.

Meanwhile back in the bedroom. Chris and Alec were kissing tenderly. Chris pulls away "I missed you so much"

"Me too" Alec says fixing Chris glasses. "I missed your lips next to mine."

Chris giggles pulling away "I'm sorry I didn't ring you yesterday." He turns around to the college brochures "it's just picking a college is giving me stress"

"Hey" Alec said softly wrapping his arms around his boyfriend from behind. "Take a break, you'll find the right one don't worry"

"I just don't want to be so far away from you" Chris admits playing with his fingers.

"Hey" Alec says softly turning his boyfriend around and pecking his lips "I love you, I'm always gonna be near you in your heart"

"Yeah b-but" Chris looks up into his eyes "w-what if you find someone new someone better than me and-"

"Listen to me!" Alec exclaims sitting down on Chris bed and pulling him into his lap. "It will always be you! Even if there is a boy there that I find attractive I won't even look at them because I'm with you!"

Alec speaks softer "look we'll have our ups and downs. But we will find each other, we will stick together. And yeah even if we do break up, you have your two dads who love you and will always protect you. You always have people around you who will protect you"

Chris looks up at Alec from his lap and plays with the hairs on the nape of Alec's neck "how was I lucky to find you"

Alec chuckles "the actual question is how lucky I am to find you"

And as their lips meet and they fall backwards onto the bed. Chris realises, that whatever happens. As long as he has Alec and his two dad's by his side...

He's gonna have one amazing future, a future that he will never forget.

So, this is the end of amazing memories :((
