- Natasha's Flashback (in her POV)-

It was the year 2000. 15 years ago. (Their conversations were in Russian, but I don't speak Russian so I wrote them in English XD)

"Romanova!" Madame B. called. I went up to her. "You have an assignment. We have just been notified that S.H.I.E.L.D. has woken up Captain America. Your job is to kill him, however you need to. He is America's greatest weapon, and we need him gone. Understood?"

"Yes." I answered.

"Your flight to America leaves tonight. Get ready." Madame said in a harsh tone and walked away.

When I arrived in America, I went to a bar the next night

I walked into the bar where I was supposed to meet Steve. As I walked in, I bumped into someone.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" I exclaimed.

"No, it's my fault, I wasn't paying attention." the man said. I looked up at him. Blonde hair, beautiful blue eyes, tall, muscular, good-looking, a gentleman. This was Steve Rogers."Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Definitely. How about you?" I laughed.

"I'm..I'm okay. But I feel bad, let me at least buy you a drink." he said.

"Why thank you. Such a gentleman." I said, smiling. We walked towards the bar and got our drinks.

"God...sorry, I didn't even ask your name." he said. I could tell he was trying to get me to reveal information, which was weird...because I know he knows who I am.

"It's Natasha. Natasha Rushman. And what about you?"

"Steve...Steve...Barnes."

"Nice to meet you Steve. What brings you here?"

"Oh, I was supposed to meet someone." he said.

"I'm guessing she didn't make it."

"Guess not."

"Well, a nice guy like you shouldn't be alone, not on a Saturday night." I smirked. He chuckled.

"And what's a pretty girl like you doing all alone?" His old-fashioned flirting made me laugh.

"I'm not alone. I have you." I smiled. We had finished our drinks. The bar was beginning a karaoke contest. "OOH! Do you wanna join?" I asked excitedly.

"Definitely not. That is something I can't do, for sure. But you go ahead."

"Fine." I jumped onto the little stage they set up and started singing a song. Everyone in the bar seemed like they enjoyed my performance. After I finished, I took a bow and ran back over to Steve. "How'd I do?" I asked.

"That sounded great." he said.

"You think?"

"Yeah." we locked eyes for a moment. A feeling started to build up, and I didn't like it, so I broke the tension.

"Well, hey, it's getting kinda late, you wanna walk with me?"

"Uh, sure. Where to?"

"You can walk me to my hotel."

"Sure. Are you not from around here?"

"No, I'm Canadian. I'm just taking a vacation for a little while then heading back home." I lied. We walked outside in the cool air.
