The writing of Paul in 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2  through the guidance of the Holy spirit describes the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ.

It describes what will happen immediately before his appearance that is the day of the LORD.

I pray that you eyes may be opened to the understanding of these scriptures. In Jesus name. Amen.

                  ...
2 Thessalonians 2:1,
[1]BUT RELATIVE to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and our gathering together to [meet] Him, we beg you, brethren,

[2]Not to allow your minds to be quickly unsettled or disturbed or kept excited or alarmed, whether it be by some [pretended] revelation of [the] Spirit or by word or by letter [alleged to be] from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has [already] arrived and is here.

Jesus the Messiah is coming again and when he comes the followers of Christ shall be gathered together to meet him.

Dear, reader if you know that you are not walking nor abiding in the teachings of the Word of God please repent and turn your face towards God for his mercy endures forever.

2 Thessalonians 2:3,
[3]Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition), [Dan. 7:25; 8:25; I Tim. 4:1.]

When Paul mentions deceive I believe he meant there will be deception.

Maybe you have come across so many doctrines that try to explain the coming of Jesus Christ that you don't know which one to believe.

And what you really want is to know the truth.

It is said that you can believe something is true if you find out yourself.

We have a reliable source of all truths and that is the Bible which is the Word of God.

All you desire to know is in there. Don't you think its time you found out yourself by seeking the guidance of the Holy spirit as you read the Bible?

Therefore, to escape deception study the word of God and find the truth and you will also know if someone is deceiving you or not.

The word Apostasy in bold means the renunciation of one's faith or belief.

Renunciation from the word renounce which is the act of rejecting something in this case it will be rejecting/resigning/surrendering one's faith.

It is written that the day of the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ will not come except the apostasy comes first.

So, there will come a day when people will renounce their faith.

Actions is a proof of renouncing something.

How is this possible?
What will make staunch believers to renounce their faith?
Let's find out.

Other versions read,"For that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first..."

Rebellion: Defiance of authority or control.

Defiance: Open or bold resistance to authority, position or power.

Those that'll take the position of rebellion which is resistance to authority can only be the governed people. What are they resisting?

I think both versions express a common situation.
