The Shifter // Colby Brock

~ Part 12 ~

I actively tried to control my growling as I sat on Colby's lap in the garage making out. The others were around us having conversations and doing their best not to look at us. I knew that if I growled, one of them would make a joke and ruin our moment. I couldn't even remember how it lead to this, just that that's that and everyone else will have to deal with it. Luckily for them and me, Colby hadn't gone too inappropriate with his hand placements. I mean, it's the least you could do when you're making out with your boyfriend or girlfriend in front of so many people. I couldn't care less, quite happy to be there with Colby. When Jade wasn't here, he was the closest person to me and that meant I wanted to spend time with him. But of course, as the guy he is, he let his hand slip down my back and to my lower back before going to go further. "If your hand goes any further, I'm going to have to separate you two." Elton threatened. I laughed and pulled my mouth away from Colby's, looking over at Elton.

"I'd like to see you try." I challenged as I flashed my fangs at him. He just smiled back and shook his head, turning it back to Corey to finish his conversation. I turned my face back to Colby and placed a quick peck on his lips before speeding upstairs to grab my phone from his room. I hadn't moved it from this evening when I woke up. I sped back and ended up back on the beanbag. Colby had barely moved, his body turned more to everyone else.

"Awe, no more making out with Colby, Ness?" Jake teased as he tightened his grip on Tara like he was ready to pounce at me if I challenged him. I rolled my eyes and unlocked my phone.

"No, Jakey. But it's not like you're getting any right now either, is it?" I didn't even look at him as I scrolled through Instagram out of boredom. Colby's arm was around me again and he was checking his own phone. I could feel a pair of eyes on me, maybe both of us, but I ignored it until Devyn spoke.

"So, Colby, are you back on blood bags? Because I haven't seen you have any with the rest earlier." My unnecessary breathing caught in my throat and my body naturally froze. What's he going to say to that? I could definitely feel the eyes on me now because of my reaction.

"Uh, yeah but I'm having them every now and then." Colby shrugged casually and secretly squeezed my side to tell me to calm down. I kept my eyes focused on my phone screen.

"What about you, Ness? Have you seen Jade since yesterday?" Oh god I haven't even texted her to see if she's okay! I quickly went to the messages app and found her name.

"No, I haven't seen her. Colby told me she was okay so I've given her some time." I lied as I got a text back. Okay, yeah she's fine and she'll come over tomorrow. She's still not opposed to letting me bite her.

"Yeah she just had to have a nap for a little while, as you do when you get bitten for the first time." Mike replies casually, leaning back on the couch and pulling his own phone out of his pocket.

"Well... it wasn't her first time getting bitten."
