Phil's POV

I wasn't surprsied that Dan wasn't stuttering at the moment. The doctors had given him some medication to relax him and kind of slow his brain sown but it wouldn't last forever. I was, however, extremely grateful that he was awake. I had spent almost eight weeks in this hospital, hardly leaving unless it was absolutely necessary. I just couldn't bare the thought of Dan waking up all alone from that dark place his mind had taken him to. I had woken up about a day after Dan fell down his rabbit hole but had been stabilised only an hour after he had gone. After countless attempts to wake him up, the doctors had decided it was best to put him in their care. None of us knew it would be this bad. It was like his brain had shut off, leaving it's body to find for itself.

Needless to say, after the whole thing was explained to the head of the radio station, Dan and I were both given our jobs back as soon as we were able to. Of course, that hadn't been possible and still wouldn't. Luckily for us, we have a lot of truly amazing friends who were all willing to take part in an 'internet takeover' where they could all take turns running the show and publicising their channels. It was the brilliant idea of none other than Pj Liguori. Him and Chris have been so good to me for all this time. They always came to check that I was getting enough sleep, eating properly, and just keeping me company. I owed them a lot.

The original point of the internet takeover was to keep the show going until Dan and I were able to return, however, even after many protests on my behalf, everyone had insisted that the money they recieved was to go on supporting Dan and I financially until things start to take a different turn. So with my parents, Dan's parents, all of our friends, and  some financial help from the hospital, we were able to keep up the rent on the flat, which was low since we weren't there to use any electicals, and I was able to stay with Dan every moment I could.

"Phil, what happens now?" Dan asked warily as we sat and ate the food that Pj and Chris had brought up, although I had to feed Dan because of the restraints on his arms. The guys had gone home soon after with promises of viiting tomorrow.

"Well, love, I know that we're not going home." I took a breath and brushed his hair out of his eyes. "I know that you don't want this but the doctors and I agree that you should spend some more time here in the pysch ward. Dan, I love you and I want you to get better."

"No, I understand. It's okay, I'll stay as long as it takes." he replied, smiling sweetly at me. "Just, it's not like the movies, is it? You know, white rooms and straight jackets?" he looked scared.

"Not where you're going." i smiled. "The dotors let me have a look around and honestly, it's quite nice. You get your own little room with a comfy bed, sofa and desk and you get a lot of time to just roam around. t's just like living in a uni dorm, but with comfier beds."

"Will you get to visit?" he asked.

"All the time!" I exclaimed. "Every chance I have I will be there, trust me."

He smiled sweetly up at me and then made a pouty face as he couldn't move. I smiled gently and leant down, pressing my lips softly to his.

After a while, Dan began to drift off and fell asleep as I played with his hair gently. When he woke up the next morning, the doctors came in and explained everything that I had told Dan yesterday as well as mentioning that he would be seeing a therapist every evening and then finally took off the restraints, explaining that they were there because he had been thrashing around and scratching himself harshly. Dan seemed shocked but pleased that they had stopped him. We eventually got Dan settled into the new ward and he looked slightly better than he had being restrained. However, he still hadn't spoken a word since he woke up. I knew this would happen though.
