A new start

When I woke up I saw that Cloud was still asleep around the Dragon egg

I carefully got up not wanting to wake cloud up and went to the kitchen

I sat down at the table and felt a wave of loneliness come over me I didn't understand why I felt so lonely when I used to live all by myself and didn't even have my parents visit so why does it feel so different this time

I cried and watched my vision go blurry before feeling tears stream down my face I held the feather from sky's wing that I always kept on a necklace around my neck I remembered his smile and then sobbed

I then felt someone nudge me in my leg I turned to see Cloud looking at me with pity and saw probably wondering what I was crying about

" hey buddy sorry I just really m..miss him" I said trying to wipe away my tears

Cloud then nodded and walked to the freezer before biting on the handle and pulling the door open

"W..what are you doing?"

Cloud went back over to me and nudged me out of the chair I followed him over to the freezer and understood what he was trying to tell me when I saw the ice cream still in there I picked up a carton and let Cloud with my free hand before closing the freezer I then got a spoon and cloud then lead me to the couch where he motioned with his head to tell me to sit down so I sat down he then the off into my room I put down the ice cream carton on the table next to the couch because my hand started to get cold

When cloud came back he was carrying my blanket in his mouth and trying not to trip on the blanket he went up to me and  tossed the blanket at me it ended up hitting me in the face but I took it off of my face and wrapped it around me

"What about the chores?" I said

Cloud shook his head as if he was saying no and that I should stay inside and take it easy before he jumped up on the couch and curled up and resting his head on my lap

I ate some of my ice cream before putting it back down when i was done i was going to get up to put the ice cream away when I saw that Cloud was on my lap sleeping peacefully

I was faced with the most difficult decision in my life should I get up and put the ice cream away and wake up Cloud in the process of let the ice cream melt and not wake up Cloud

I decided to let the rest of the ice cream melt and fell asleep

I woke up a few minutes later to the sound of a wolf howling

"Come on Cloud i was asleep why did you wake me up" I said

I looked at cloud and saw his eyes wide with panic and I knew he didn't howl I got up quickly and we went down to the garden before looking around

We heard another howl and me and Cloud looked at each other before running towards the sound

Cloud was far ahead of me when I saw it in the distance there was a horse surrounded by a lack of snarling wolves

When I caught up cloud seemed to be warning the pack to back away the pack didn't have the pretty fur that Cloud had they were grey with scars all over them

cloud and what looked like the alpha of the pack were having a staredown while the rest of the pack growled at the horse who was panicking and kicking trying to get the wolves to leave it alone the horse was brown with white patches on it

We were outnumbered but I knew I had to save this horse cloud was stronger than all of the wolves but outnumbered he wouldn't stand a chance then I got an idea I picked up some rocks I didn't want to kill the wolves I just wanted to hurt them enough that they would go away

Just then I saw the alpha of the pack leap at Cloud and the other wolves snapped at the horse's hoofs one of the wolves got a hold of the horse's leg i threw a rock at that wolf and it helped I threw more rocks at the wolves while cloud was fighting the alpha I charged at the wolves making a loud commotion and throwing rocks they ran off and as soon as the alpha realized her pack had abandoned her she ran off too

I went towards the horse it looked scared but it stayed still I put my hand on its side and petted it it started to calm down and I looked at its leg it was bleeding and Cloud was badly injured I saw that when Cloud walked up to me the horse started panicking again

"Shh it's okay" I said softly to the horse petting it

Now what am I supposed to do I wondered I tore off a piece of my shirt and wrapped it around the horse's leg i then looked over at Cloud to see him...glowing? When he stopped glowing he was entirely healed

"What!? How in the.." I said

"Hi there"

I heard a voice say I turned around quickly and gasped

"SKY!!"

I ran into his arms he laughed and swung me around before setting me down and kissing me we were interrupted by cloud leaping on sky and licking his face sky couldn't stop laughing and I couldn't stop smiling I probably looked like a dork but I didn't care I was too happy by the time sky got up and Cloud calmed down I realized that  in the moment I had forgotten about the horse who was still lying in the grass

Sky walked over to it and touched it it glowed and then stood up when the glowing had faded

I walked towards the horse and unwrapped the piece of my shirt the horse then nodded at me and sky like it was saying thank you and then turned and galloped away looking happy that it could run again I turned to sky

"It looked happy" I said smiling

"Yeah" sky responded

" wait you were going to help it if me and Cloud didn't.. right? "

"Umm....no"

"What!? You're heartless sky! Why not?"

" because that's just how life is I only helped it cause you wanted to "

"Why!?"

"Because you're always right so whatever you think you should do I'll be there to help"

"Thanks I guess anyway how could you come here I thought you would have a ton of work to do?" I asked

" I did but I'm a few days ahead of my work right now so I came to visit"

" I'm glad you did but can you explain to me why you gave me a dragon egg? " I asked him raising one eyebrow at him

He laughed at my facial expression

"I thought you and Cloud might want a little bit more company when I'm gone and it can help you unlock the door" sky said

"I guess I would like a but more company and when you said you were going to see me soon in the letter I didn't think it would be this soon and why can't you just open the door for me ?"

" because then it wouldn't be fun" sky answered

"Whatever let's just go back home"

You guys have no idea how tired I am I stayed up late last night watching the new she ra and the princesses of power I mean it's not my fault that it's amazing well anyway I don't know what else to put here so go check me out on chickensmoothie my username is mophair ok um...bye
