JAFAR ALMOST SPAT out his drink as he heard this, "I beg your pardon, sire?"

"Is there a problem, Vizier?" The Sultan of Irania turned to Jafar, with a stern glare which he gladly returned.

"I just find it ridiculous that you wouldn't even inform Rashida about this first...be-before inviting over a man who you choose to be her husband," Jafar ranted.

The Sultan of Irania looked over at Hamed, surprised Jafar hadn't buttoned his lips yet.

Rashida smiled at Jafar, she found it funny he was taking such interest in something he didn't even know, "If you hadn't been so busy. You would have been there for the choosing of my suitors. I choose Prince Ahmad, no one else."

Jafar rolled his eyes, he found himself turning red at how 'head-over-heels' he was acting, "Sorry, I think I've had enough food for the night."

Jafar excused himself from the table. Rashida almost pulled him down as she whispered in his ear, "Don't go too far and don't you dare think about going to my room."

"Wouldn't dream of it," He smiled dryly to everyone else on the table before walking off.

Conversation flowed smoothly without Jafar's glares watching over them and the topic of chat soon glided over to Jasmine.

"I hear you will be choosing a suitor of your own, your Highness," Prince Ahmad turned to the younger princess.

"Yes, very soon. I hope I will find someone that will catch my eye but I'm not optimistic," Jasmine said, still thinking of Aladdin.

She wasn't certain she was going to throw away any men that she might fancy but Aladdin was still her first option, however thief-some he may be...

"Why's that?" The Iranian Sultan asked, sipping some of his wine.

"I've got my eye on something else...bigger than money."

"Like what?"

Hamed interjected, "You see my friend, my daughter Jasmine is interested in love."

"Oh, I see. Well, love or power is a big question. But I would try and keep away from such things, your Highness," The Sultan of Irania raised a glass to Jasmine.

Jasmine raised her own glass in response, "I'll try and keep that in mind."

"You should," The Iranian Sultan said.

Jasmine hated being told what to do, especially by men who thought everything they said was right.

Why should she be the one to choose a man to rule the country for her? Instead of with her?
