JASMINE," RASHIDA PROMPTED her younger sister. Jafar, on the other hand, was growing tired, "Hakim, I thought I told those fools to take the Princess away."

This is getting boring...

Hakim simply held a hand out and listened as Jasmine broke out of the guards grasp to talk to him, "You were just a boy when your father came to work the grounds. But you have risen up to become our most trusted soldier. As a man, I know you to be both loyal and just. Duty isn't always an honour. Our greatest challenge isn't speaking up against our enemies but defying those whose approval we seek most. Jafar is not worthy of your admiration nor sacrifice."

"I wish nothing but glory for the Kingdom of Agrabah," Jafar said.

"No, you seek glory for yourself," Jasmine corrected, "And you would win it off the backs of our people!"

"Exactly, always has been the same with you..." Rashida let out a bitter laugh, "Always has, always will be. But, Hakim, you have a choice. These men will follow if you lead but the decision is yours. Will you stand gormless while this imbecile attempts to destroy our beloved kingdom."

Yawn.

"Or will you do what is right? And stand with the people of Agrabah?" Jasmine asked and Hakim came to a realisation.

"Your Highnesses," Hakim bowed to the two princesses, "Forgive me. Guards! Arrest the Vizier!"

Jafar laughed to himself, "Not even the title of Sultan wakes the herd from their sleep. Do you still refuse me? I should have known...If you won't bow before a Sultan, you will cower before a sorcerer. Genie! I wish to become the most powerful sorcerer there is."

"Then you can finally stop reading my mind," Jafar thought and Rashida's eyes opened.

"As you wish, master," Genie used his magic again, encasing the room in the same magical glow to turn Jafar into a sorcerer, changing the splendour in his outfit again.

Immediately, Rashida felt different, she no longer had power over what she heard from his mind. This made her feel powerless like she had no voice and it scared her...

"This could have been fun, Hakim. I had such big plans for you. But now...you are no longer of any use to me, perhaps your men would like to follow you to the dungeon."

A stomp of his snake staff immediately sent them all to the dungeon.

Behind Jafar was Aladdin, he had snuck into the room as he came up behind. He made a run for the lamp and Jafar could sense him as soon as he came out from behind the pillar.

"Prince Ali!" Jasmine cried.

"If it isn't our Prince Ali," Jafar let out another sinister laugh, "Or should I say...Aladdin."

"Aladdin?" Jasmine was confused, she was surprised that he had managed to convince her so easily and suddenly everything about him was a lie.

Rashida knew all too well what Jafar was referring too, she had refrained from believing it. But, she had somewhat of an idea after she found out about the lamp.

"He's been pretending the entire time," Jafar chuckled, "An impostor. There is no Prince Ali, there never was. He's nothing but a lying thief, I'm sorry. You're insignificant. An irritation I no longer need to tolerate once I..."

"Just, lay off it," Rashida interrupted, "He's done nothing."

Jafar pressed his sceptre into Aladdin's chest, pushing him to the side, laughing as he tumbled to the floor.

"I could simply kill you all," Jafar looked at Rashida straight in the eyes, "But that would be inadequate punishment for years of humiliation and regret. 'Remember your place, Jafar, 'You forget yourself Jafar,' 'Be a good boy, Jafar.'"

"Jafar!" Hamed tried to intervene but the Vizier continued.

"No. What you need is to suffer, like I suffered," Jafar gripped his sceptre, making it glow red and slowly causing them to fall to their knees.

Rashida had zoned out, there were a few shouts, yells before her eyes focused on Aladdin, who was crouched down in the corner.

"Get the lamp!" He whispered and Rashida jumped towards the decorative, red cushion, where the golden oil lamp sat.

"No!" Jafar forgot about the people in front of him, he threw his sceptre in Rashida's direction, tunnelling a glow of bright lasers towards her, she felt herself fall backwards, "Princess, your time is up!"

Rashida fell into a pool of golden sands, they swirled around her as she found herself knee-deep, trapped inside an hourglass with sand pouring on her forehead.

"Jafar!" She banged onto the glass, "You can't do this! I won't allow it."

"Actually, I can," Jafar smirked slyly, "I can do whatever I want...which is why the most suitable punishment would be to make you watch while I take what you love most..."

"No!" Hamed shouted and looked over at Rashida, whose skin was dusted with sand, the golden dust up to her thighs.

"And marry your daughter, isn't that right, Rashida?" Jafar clarified.

"No, you think after all this total madness I would marry you?" Rashida scoffed, "You must be entirely mad."

Jafar used his staff again, Rashida watched carefully as it glowed a bright red, it's sneaky eyes lighting up as it's power crawled around those in the room - Jasmine, Aladdin, Dalia and Hamed all fell to their knees.

"So, what do you say now, Princess?" Jafar smirked, all of a sudden she saw it. She saw the dark side of him. "Will you let these fools you call family live?"

Rashida was word-struck as he gave her that ultimatum. Ever since she was young, all she wanted was to get married to him and run away into the sunset. It was hard to push down all those memories as if they were nothing, it broke her heart seeing him this way.
