JAFAR DIDN'T WANT to spend a minute longer in that disastrous situation, it was horrible. He did find that Prince Anders fellow quite appealing in his approach to war but his stupidity ruined his whole likability.

Also, the fact that his gift ended in an unfortunate debacle where he sunk his ship and filled the palace hall with smoke, it wasn't a great place to 'hang.'

Jafar walked to the nearest balcony to get some fresh air as he spotted Jasmine, in the exact balcony he wanted - coincidentally.

He pondered leaving but decided to talk to her, "Life will be kinder to you, princess. Once you accept these traditions and understand that it is better for you to be seen...and not heard."

"How dare you?" Rashida shouted from behind Jafar, making him turn around to face her.

"It..." Jafar was cut off.

"My sister is entitled to say anything she deems necessary, I can't say the same for you," Rashida looked him up and down.

"Rashida, it's okay," Jasmine said.

"No!" Rashida was so angry, she could have slapped him, "You think you're so right all the time. But you're not...I was a fool to think you'd want to change!"

"I didn't mean to overstep, 'Shida," Jafar began, removing his turban humbly.

"You don't mean anything," Rashida spat, "And you can say goodbye to your staff because after tonight it's as good as gone!"

Rashida joined Jasmine in her room after spending quite a while in her own royal quarters trying to find anywhere that Jafar couldn't see where she'd hidden his staff.

It was ruining the majestic design of her room anyway, it's shuddering snakehead would scare her at night...

"Thank you for what you did," Jasmine said, she was sitting next to Dalia with Rajah close by.

Rajah snuggled up to Rashida as she entered the room, trying to wrap her paws around her waist.

Rashida laughed as she stroked Rajah's warm fluffy fur, "It's okay, sister. Jafar is nothing I can't handle."

"We told you it was a good idea," Dalia said.

"I know. It's a shame...I don't think all this will actually make him change," Rashida sighed.

"You just said you can handle him..."

"That doesn't mean I can change him. I can control him for a while but that's only because he listens to me," Rashida explained, "When I'm not there, I have no idea what he's doing or saying...like today."

"Aren't you best friends?"

"We were but honestly that feels like another life time ago," Rashida said.

Jafar lifted his head from against the door, he didn't need to hear anymore to know all his theories about Hamed and Rashie trying to reform him were true.

He was lucky he had left Iago elsewhere because he wouldn't have been able to keep his mouth shut long enough without saying, "Polly want a cracker!"

The guards had let him through to the section of the palace leading to the royals' bedroom for the simple price of scaring them with his position...

What naive fools.

The doors to Rashida's chambers were left open, typical. Rashida really made him out to be some kind of idiot, that she would leave his staff unattended to.

Jafar's thoughts drifted to what Rashida said about their days as best friends being another life and was glad because it meant she had forgotten what he started as, a street rat.
