RASHIDA APPROACHED THE Genie as Jasmine ran off, as a sister she was disappointed that she didn't go and comfort her but as a royal, she found it was her duty to go and investigate.

"What were you doing?" Rashida asked.

"I was simply enjoying the dancing, why do you ask?" Genie said, smiling.

"You...enjoy your evening," Rashida pretended to give up, leaving him alone.

Jafar saw Rashida with the Genie, he had to admit...he was jealous. He didn't like Rashida getting all close next to a man that wasn't him. He ran up to her as she made her way towards the exit, grabbing her arm.

"Princess...Where are you going? The night isn't over yet," Jafar smiled, "And I didn't dress in this stupid getup to please the Sultan."

"I...This was fun, Jaf," Rashida smiled, "But I've got some business to attend to."

Jafar let go of her arm and she disappeared into the castle, he turned around and walked over to 'Prince Ali.' He'd been meaning to have a chat with him, about his intentions to join royalty.

Now that Rashida wasn't there, he didn't have to be on his best behaviour.

"Prince Ali," Jafar walked towards him, "May I have a word?"

Aladdin was next to the Genie, who he didn't care for and didn't particularly like, "Privately...This doesn't concern your...servant."

"Well, I'll be over there," The Genie smiled, edging away towards Dalia, "Minding my business."

"I know who you are," Jafar said.

"You do?" Aladdin was nervous, afraid he'd been exposed.

"You're a man of great ambition, like myself."

"I, uh, don't believe that we've been properly introduced."

"Jafar, Vizier to the Sultan. I could be a valuable ally to help you get what you want."

Prince Ali was very rich and he was looking for more power, this goal didn't stop him from keeping his suspicious about him - make no mistake.

"I uh..." Aladdin was scared of Jafar, to say he was intimidating would be an understatement, "I will think on that. I'm kind of want to try and find the Princess right now..."

"Perhaps!" Jafar shouted, making him jump, "I'm not making myself clear, this offer will not be on the table for long, you see."

Aladdin cleared his throat, "I see..."

"You may leave," Jafar said, "We wouldn't want to leave the Princess waiting now, would we?"

Aladdin scurried off before the conversation took any more turns. Jafar eyed him suspiciously as he crept back to his friend.

Rashida closed the door to Prince Ali's room, she had two guards secretly watching the outside for her.

She was searching his room for anything slightly shiny, she knew what she was looking for.

The lamp. She couldn't have been friends with Jafar and not heard about it. It was all he talked about some days.

According to legend, it had epic powers - far beyond anyone comprehension. Rashida had a feeling that Prince Ali's friend wasn't who he said he was.

She turned over tables, chair, opened cupboards and even tried to pry open creaky floorboards...but nothing.

She was going to give up and leave until she saw the faint glisten of gold in the corner of the room. It was discreetly hidden in the tall straw basket by the wall, wrapped over cloth.

She grabbed the lamp and tucked it under her nightdress, making her way back to her quarters.

When she was safely hidden behind her doors, making sure then were sealed - she brought out the lamp. She took a deep breath, looking around her in case someone came in, even though she had locked the doors.

"Okay," Rashida took a deep breath as she gently rubbed the lamp. Suddenly the room filled with smoke, it poured out of the spout in a flood of purple, blue and pink.

"Oh my god," Rashida's eyes tore open as she witnessed the sight before her.
