It's everyone favourite repair boy! *wink* *wink*
My day starts off very uneventful. The teachers all pretend it isn't the first day of school and give me tons of homework.
Especially Mrs. Dodds the Monster Math Teacher (a nickname I came up with when she came to Goode). I don't know how she's even married. I swear that lady's one of Satan's best friends or at least a demon.
My schedule is basically the same as last year with a few different teachers here and there. I wasn't looking forward to anything except lunch, where I could tell my friends the exciting news I had. The day passes so slowly I swear time was trying to kill me.
When the bell for lunch finally rings, I'm the first to get out of my seat and into the hallway. I reach the cafeteria out of breath and fling open the doors. I run inside only to find that I am the only one there. So I go grab some food and wait at my usual table, but I'm too eager to eat. My fingers tap on the top of the table as I wait.
The door opens and my head turns, only to see that it's Drew Tanaka and her gang. Drew is one of the biggest bullies at Goode, but doesn't seem like it at first. When you meet her, she acts all sweet, but she's literally a devil.
Drew and her gang sashay past me to their table. I hear them whisper, "Loser," to each other. All I do is shoot a wink and smirk in their direction.
The door opens again and in walks Piper McLean, Hazel Levesque, and a girl I don't recognize laughing together. The new girl's pretty, with caramel-coloured hair and dark eyes.
"Who's this, Beauty Queen?" I ask Piper.
"This is Calypso," she tells me. Piper turns to Calypso. "Cal, this is Leonidas. Be wary of him and his pranks."
Calypso nods, and sits with Hazel and Piper at the end farthest away from me. Piper sticks her tongue out and I stick mine out back.
The cafeteria door opens again, and massive horde of people come out. Some people head our way.
Though we don't always sit together, we have a pact that on first days and last days, the table (technically it's two tables pushed together but no one talks about that fact) will always be full. The consistent ones include me, the Stolls (also known as my soul brothers—you should see us in action), Katie (she only started doing staying full-time since the middle of last year, the time when she and Travis finally got together), Piper (although she could sit anywhere—except maybe with Drew—and would be allowed), Nico, and Hazel. I do think Hazel only stays because of Nico, nothing against him of course.
The group wasn't always so big. Originally, it was only Percy, Jason, Thalia, Nico and Hazel. Then me, Piper, Annabeth, Will and Rachel came. The Stoll brothers befriended us and Reyna and Katie started hanging out with Annabeth, Piper and Hazel. Frank came last year and Percy and Hazel immediately became friends with him, but Thalia also graduated. And now we have Calypso I guess.
Jason sits down next to me and starts chatting up a storm. I've never seen him so excited before.
It agitates me for some reason. It could be the fact that I like being the centre of attention, but I don't think that's it. Before I know it, I'm standing on top of the table, with my hands on my hips.
"Yes Leo?" Jason asks.
"I got my tattoo!" I blurt out. Everyone starts clapping except for the new girl, Calypso. She's glaring at me.
"Yes Sunshine?" I ask her.
She glares harder. "I'm surprised you were able to almost break the table."
