Why do people hate Piper so much? I love her!
I pull into the driveway of my house. It's probably my favourite out of the houses my parents own. Not just because it's the one closest to where my friends live, but also because it's the simplest.
I walk in and my mom waves me over. Both my parents are mega famous. My dad's one of the world's top actors and my mom's an actress, fashion designer and an incredible makeup artist. She's been named world's most beautiful person for 5 years and counting.
My mom, appropriately named Aphrodite for the goddess of beauty, kisses me on both cheeks. She's French and still hasn't gotten used to not kissing, or La bise.
"Comment ça va?" she asks.
"I'm fine," I respond.
My dad, Tristan, smiles. He has an arm over my mom's shoulders.
"Hey," I say, "is okay if we have our first day of school meeting here?"
"Bien sûr!" Aphrodite replies. "Of course darling."
"We're not going to be home tonight anyway. There's a conference at San Fransisco we have to attend to," Tristan offers.
Almost as an afterthought, he adds, "And no alcohol. Or smoking."
I roll my eyes (I seem to be doing lots of that today) and sigh. "The people most likely to bring and actually drink the alcohol would be the Stolls. And they would bring it for a prank."
Then I say, "Well, Will has rubbing alcohol in his first-aid kit and he carries it around everywhere. As for smoking, well, Rachel needs to for medication. She tries to not for as long as she can. Does that count?"
"Of course not, ma chérie," my mom says, smiling.
I smile. "Great! I'll tell them!" I kissed both my parents on their cheek once and head upstairs to my room. It's the smallest bedroom in the house. It's still not very small.
I take out my phone and add Calypso to the group chat before I forget.

Calypso: K! What's ur address?

Calypso: Really? Wow!

Calypso: Pipes! You didn't tell me?
Me: Leo!
Me: sorry cal
Wise Girl: Piper doesn't like people thinking that just because she is rich, she is stuck-up.
Wise Girl: By the way, Piper, you are not stuck-up.
Calypso: I could never think ur stuck-up
Doctor Will: Your house? Got it!
Doctor Will: Hi Calypso! Welcome to the mess that we are!
