A few weeks after his departure to the lonely mountain Bilbo Baggins came to Rivendell. There he wanted to rest and replenish his supplies. As he passed the doors of Rivendell he was received by an elf girl, only that she was too small for an elf. She was the daughter of an elven woman and a dwarf.
"Welcome, Mr. Baggins.", she said friendly and it was no surprise for Bilbo that she knew his name. After all he had already been here and elves don't forget very fast. Lord Elrond probably told her about him. "My name is (y/n). It's nice to meet you." She bowed slightly and her (h/c) hair fell in her face.
"It's an honor to me to meet you!" the Hobbit answered polite and smiled. The girl smiled back and her (e/c) eyes flashed. They went into a great hall Bilbo immediately recognised. It was the same hall as the one he and the dwarves used when they came to Rivendell to seek refuge from an orc troop. Lord Elrond entered the hall and welcomed the little Hobbit happily surprised. He didn't expect to see him again so soon. Bilbo explained Lord Elrond his plan and the reasons for it and asked for something to eat and a place to sleep, which of course was granted. After this Lord Elrond withdrew with the half elf girl.
"(y/n) you're half dwarf. When your father died we took you in and kept you when your mother died too. This little Hobbit is about to go on a dangerous way, if even not as dangerous as a year ago. Yet there are creatures out there, in the mountains and woods, that he must cross, which can be very dangerous for him. He needs an escort. Do you want to join him and get the chance to see the home of the dwarves?"
(y/n) thought about it. She didn't want to make her decision over-hasty. Of course she wanted to see Erebor, that was her wish since the mountain was taken back by the dwarves, but she really liked Rivendell... But... who says I won't come back here? she asked herself and with this thought she made her decision.
"Yes, my Lord Elrond. I want to join the Hobbit. It would be a pleasure and an honor."
"Then it is decided. You will start when Bilbo Baggins wants to." (Y/n) nodded and withdrew to her room.
On this evening she thought long about the Erebor and going there soon.
