A/N: As you may have noticed, I usually have a picture for the chapters, but this time I didn't find one because I'm really choosy with this one. So whether I like it or not, I have to draw one myself. Meaning: Anyone who wants to see a picture here, has to wait, sorry.

Three day's had passed since Kíli woke up and he used these to become completely well again on Oin's instruction. During this time (y/n) got to know the other dwarves and read many things about the dwarfish culture, which she didn't knew much about even if she was half-dwarf. She often sat in one of the gardens with Bilbo and listened to his stories about the journey, too. He told her much about the Shire and the Hobbits. On the fourth day, when everyone already was eating, the door to the dining room opened and Kíli entered the room. Everyone stopped eating immediately and nearly at the same time, Thorin and (y/n) got up. They had clearly visited him but Oin had often sent them away, for Kíli to rest. Both of them run to the brown-haired dwarf and hugged him from the front and back. A bit surprised Kíli had stopped and now didn't really know what to do. Finally he just smiled and said after a while:

"I hope you saved me some food! I'm starving!"

"Of course we have!" (y/n) said and pulled the dwarf over to the table. By then the others had explained the empty chair to her and put another chair at the table for her, on the other side of Kíli. He smiled and nearly was the same again, but there was one thing that still bothered him. He never told anyone about his dreams, his nightmares, of Fíli. The others knew that he dreamt of his brother, but they did not know what exactly he dreamt. He had thought about telling (y/n) from these dreams, while laying in bed and getting well again, even though he knew her so short time. Kíli was scared to confide in somebody. He didn't know why, but he was. While breakfast he acted like always and only two people realised that something was wrong. One was Thorin, who didn't say anything, because he knew, that Kíli would tell him by himself if he wanted to. The other was (y/n), who thought it wouldn't be right if she said something when she was just so short time here. After breakfast the (h/c)-haired girl went to the library, but soon it became unbearable for her to read her book. She stood up and went down to the garden deep inside the mountain. For a while she just stood there between the gem's and sunk in her own thoughts until a voice woke her from her thoughts suddenly.

"Hello (y/n)." a certain dwarf with brown hair whispered and placed himself on her side. (y/n) had started up a little bit and Kíli apologised quickly.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you." She smiled and mumbled:

"It's ok." A long time the two of them just stood there and looked at the beautiful gemstones of this place, each one minding his own business and pleasantly quiet. At some time the dwarf turned around and wanted to leave.

"Where are you going?" (y/n) asked before she could stop herself.

"Huh? Um... actually... just up again... I wanted to go out again, after being captured in my room for so long." Kíli was a little surprised by this question and didn't really know what to say.

"Um... Would you... mind if I join you?" the girl, half-elf, half-dwarf, asked softly and shy. Kíli was happy that she wanted to be with him and smiled.

"No, of course you can join me!" he answered and they went up together.
