Fixing The Damage

Run P.o.v

Guard: "HALT!!! STATE YOUR BUSINESS!!!" A guard was standing between me and the gates of the largest prison in the Capital.

I arrived there after an hour riding with some carriages that would help me and some soldiers of the Revolution to escort back the people that are innocent to the Capital, and for them to regain their lives. Maybe it's too late for them to regain what was lost, but I knew that Y/n would help everyone. He's a good man, a good friend. His actions and small temper can be misjudge, but they are for good reason.

Run: "I am Run, member of The Jaegrers. I am here, under the Emperor's orders, to free some of the prisoners that are held here!"

Guards: "But this are criminals, sir! If they are freed, they can bring havoc to the Capital!"

Run: "Are you questioning the Emperor's orders?" I raised and eyebrow while glaring at him.

Guards: "Of course not, sir. Is just that there are soldiers of the Revolution behind yo-"

Run: "The battle is finished! The Revolution has won! And there is a new Emperor in the throne! If you do not stand aside, you will face punishment from the Emperor himself!" I warned him. He bowed his head with his body shaking.

Guards: "My apologies, sir!" He turned towards the gates. "OPEN THE GATES!!!" Then, the gates started to open.

Once the doors were fully opened, we started to head inside the prison. We were in the center of the field, where the prisoners are executed. The field was filled with dry blood and flies flying around.

I got off my horse, and there stood the warden, in the entrance of the doors to the premises. I walked towards him. Once I was in front of him, we both bowed to each other, then straightened up.

Warden: "Run of The Jaegers. I have heard so much about you. It is an honor." I nodded. "How may I be of service to the new Emperor?"

Run: "Where the recent prisoners that were brought here?"

Warden: "They are in the in the top floor. I will escort you there." I nodded and allowed him to go first.

We were walking up the stairs, until we got to the second floor. A lot of prisoners looked at me with greed, lust, envy, wrath. They screamed at me for being good looking or 'pretty boy'.

Warden: "QUIET YOU DOGS!!!" He hit on of the bars of the cells.

Run: "They seem lively." I commented

Warden: "Yeah. They are always like that when they see 'new blood' as they call it."

Run: "Are all prisoners like this?" He shook his head. While taking another set of stairs.

Warden: "Not all of them. The second to the fourth floor are like that. But from the fifth to the eigth are the calmer or 'innocents'." My eyes widened in surprise.

Run: "Innocents? You mean, you have them separated?" He nodded. We got to the third floor.

Warden: "I do. We first verify their mental state and their charges. If they were maniacs and ramble about everything as if they owned the place, we put them on the first three floors. If they are traumatized, saying that they were innocents, and crying because they didn't do anything, they went to the last four. Obvoiusly, the prisoners doesn't know this." We were on another set of stais, heading to the fourth floor. There was a question that I wanted to know, that came to mind after he told me about them.

Run: "Why have you done things like this?" We got to the fourth floor, and there were prisoners still taunting.

Warden: "The Revolution was the key to me make things differently. I knew that there was hope in this country, so I decided to divide them. It was only a matter of time until the new Emperor gave the order to set free the prisoners that weren't guilty of anything."
