Chapter Five
Anna
"i broke my rules for you."

Silas and I arrived at the hotel just after eight thirty. Masons car is parked outside and beside his is Skye's red Honda Civic.
I'm extremely excited to be in Staten Island with the boys, especially since I haven't been to many of their fights in the last two years.
Silas pulls his bike up beside Skye's car and cuts the engine. I grasp his shoulders and swing my leg over the bike, stumbling slightly as my wobbly legs hit the cement.
Silas's arm shoots out and he grasps my waist to steady me, his rough fingers brushing across my skin.
"Careful there darling. As much as I love coming to your rescue I don't want you falling face first into the cement." He says.
I scoff and push his hand away, not liking the way his touch makes my skin tingle. "Exactly when did you save me before?" I ask, through the helmet still on my head.
He unbuckles his own helmet and slides it over his head, smiling over at me cheekily. "I think you know exactly when darling."
I flip the visor up on my own helmet and give him a small glare. "Are you talking about when you almost gave me a heart attack when you pretended to fall asleep while going over a bridge? Because I don't recall that being a rescue."
He laughs loudly, swinging his own leg over the seat and coming over towards me. "Well I did prevent us from going over the rail didn't I? Besides, I just wanted to see what you'd do darling." He says deeply.
I fiddle with the ends of his track jacket and look up into those amber eyes of his. "What were you expecting me to do?" I ask.
His face seems to lean closer to my own as he looks at me through the helmet. "I wasn't expecting you to scream in my ear." He replies smiling.
I slap his chest in annoyance and glare at him again. "Just get this stupid helmet off my head."
He chuckles lowly before starting to undo the straps on my helmet. Once it's off I smooth down my hair and move around him towards Skye's car.
I peek through the back window in search of my black hoodie she had stolen from me a few weeks back. I see the sleeve sticking out from under her seat and glare at it through the glass.
"Darling, I don't think you should be peeking through strangers cars." Silas says behind me.
I turn around to find him standing right behind me and my breath hitches involuntarily. "I wasn't peeking though a strangers car. This is Skye's. She has my hoodie stuffed underneath her back seat and I want it back."
"Well maybe if we go inside you can tell her that." He says, taking my hand and pulling me towards the entrance of the hotel.
When we get inside the lady at the front desk looks up and sends a fake smile our way. "Hello, how may I help you?" She asks.
Silas stops in front of her, dropping my hand as he leans on the counter. "We're here with a few of our friends who should be here already. I'm not sure who's name it's under though." He explains.
