Chapitre 5: Quest Completed

Fei quickly adjusted to the situation. He had gone from being so nauseated by the blood he threw up after killing the first monster, to becoming cold and indifferent despite the massacre he left in his path. All the monster blood on Fei's body resembled a test from hell. After only several hours, Fei became used to this. He was almost on par with a cold-blooded killing machine.

This game literally existed for the purpose of killing.

It was so vivid. Even the pain and soreness in his muscles.

Fei was unsure if he died in this realistic game world, he would respawn like in the original game, but he didn't dare try. There was far too much at stake.

From the past three hours of killing, Fei noticed his knowledge of the original game wasn't entirely relevant in this world. Thus, he tried to establish a rough understanding of the natural order of this world.

In this cruel, blood-thirsty world, 【Strength】 and 【Vitality】 were the most important attributes to a Barbarian. While a lot of 【Strength】 enabled the use of stronger attacks, a lot of【Vitality】improved your endurance during battle, and gave you the ability to run away from ferocious monsters.

Why Fei distributed his skill points between 【Weapon Mastery】 and Warcry 【Howl】 was simple: he didn't know how to wield weapons properly, as he was just an ordinary student, so【Weapon Mastery】allowed him to use his hand axe efficiently; and 【Howl】scared the monsters away when they attempted to surround him.

Both the dangerous monsters and the risk of dying pushed Fei to prioritise his survival over the future development of his character.

After allocating all the points, Fei opened up his 【Character Status】,

Not all those improvements came from leveling up though, as Fei now possessed several special items.

He had obtained various armours and weapons by killing monsters and had already equipped the majority. One of those armours was 【Tangerines Helmet】, which granted him +1 intelligence and + 5% Lightning-Resistance attributes.

After inspecting the【Character Status】menu, he opened up his【Item Slot】.

In this world, Fei's 【Item Slot】 was a spatial ring he wore on his finger. It had 40 blocks of storage space. Every block could store items such as one 【Minor Healing Potion】. However, they did scale in this world, therefore axes or swords occupied four to eight blocks, depending on their size.
