Everyone expected Pierce's death, as no one stood close enough to save him.

"Hey, dumbass! Try to dodge my ultra-concealed weapon!"

A confident voice rang from the other side of the battlefield. However, even though the enraged rapier wielding man couldn't hear the weapon, he felt something sailing towards his head.

Taken by surprise, he barely managed to block whatever flew towards him with his rapier.

"Pu!"

The concealed weapon split in half, and crimson liquid squirted all over him.

"What the hell was that!?"

Due to his position, he had no indication of the identity of the concealed weapon. He created a sphere-shaped protection zone with his rapier and ducked to prevent any more of the liquid from landing on him. After he regained his bearings, he looked up and realised what the concealed weapon was. He immediately turned frenzied.

The concealed weapon was one of his soldiers. Someone had grabbed, then hurled this unfortunate man at him and due to his carelessness, he hadn't looked and severed that soldier in half.

"Haha, are you scared now? Chicken!"

This gloating laughter drew the attention of the rapier wielding man. In his search, he identified a man in a heavy suit of armour. In the golden light of the sunset, this man displayed the grace and majesty of a god.

Suddenly, he charged; the momentum of his body provoked powerful collisions that propelled the enemies off the wall.

With the massive double handed axe in his hand, he planned on destroying this warrior.

"You seek your own death, idiot!" This enemy sneered as he noticed the disadvantage this new arrival had placed himself in.

Only cavalry soldiers like knights wore full heavy armours, never regular foot infantry. Wearing a fifty pound armour for close ranged combat was foolish since it delayed your attacks and hindered your movement. In this enemy's mind, that man displayed the intelligence of an imbecile.

"Die!"

The warrior shifted the energy from his body onto his weapon. As flames sparked on his rapier again, he attacked the armoured man charging towards him.

The strike was as fast as lightning, energy overflowing from the rapier. He had unleashed the entirety of his powers as a one star warrior in this single assault. He was confident he could kill this reckless man with this strike.

On the other hand, the fully armoured man sprinted with no signs of slowing down. He wasn't even in a proper position. When soldiers charged, they bent their backs and stayed low. With his chest wide open and back straight, that man directly headed towards the blade.

The enemy mocked.

"Haha, there is no way you will survive this!"

But –

"Tink!" Sparks flew.

The smile froze on the warrior's face.

The massive axe that man carried appeared in front of him from an inconceivable angle, and collided with the rapier.

"Ho... How?"

The enemy was stunned.

[Striking the tip of my rapier with this axe when both of us moved so quickly? This could only be the technique of the god of war! Crap, this man was toying with me!]

This enemy immediately regretted his decision and attempted to escape.

However, it was too late!

"Boom!"

The rapier couldn't withstand that amount of power and snapped into pieces. But the force of the axe didn't stop there; the warrior's hand almost broke. The blow travelled upwards, and the veins in his right arm, which held the rapier, bulged as his skin ruptured.

The loud noise distracted everyone on the battlefield. Fighters of Chambord and enemies alike stopped fighting for a second, wondering what had happened.

"God! To break a rapier so easily, what kind of power could that be?" Everyone stared.

But the best surprise was yet to come –

The axe turned into a shadow in that man's hand; it happened so rapidly no one's eyes could follow the movements of the axe. The ex-rapier wielding warrior was the only one that saw the axe heading for his waist. That man was trying to chop him in half!

"Shit!"

This enemy felt hopeless. He no longer held a weapon and had fallen to an enormous disadvantage.

He jumped up in an attempt to dodge that vicious attack, leaping five feet high, almost like he had wings.

But the axe bent the rules of physics. It didn't follow the horizontal trajectory this enemy had predicted. Instead, it pursued after him into the air.

In mid-air, there was nothing he could do to dodge or block this attack.

"Ci ——-!"

It sounded like the tearing of a piece of paper.

The axe penetrated the enemy vertically, from his scrotum to his head. Because it happened so fast, he was still in one piece when he collapsed on the ground.

This enemy reached out his hand. His facial expression was completely dead.

Suddenly –

A bloody seam travelled his body.

He looked down, disbelieving.

Blood spurted out. The body separated. The white intestines, internal organs and the brain seeped out.

This prestigious one star warrior, who annihilated the defenders of the castle in mere minutes, was dead.
