[Why am I here? What happened?]

The recent events confused Fei even more. Somehow, he had magically teleported to this Diablo-esque world after that mysterious voice finished the countdown. As he observed his surroundings, Fei noticed he had become a Barbarian, which Fei recognised as one of the class in the game.

In his right hand was a rusty hand axe while a battered, junk-like buckler was in his left. Shortly after, Fei subconsciously understood how to call his status in the game.

The next second, a high tech like screen popped up in front of him out of nowhere.

"These are my stats in the game?"

Fei recognised his name at the top of the screen. [What the hell! I just became King and now I'm in a game world? And as a barbarian? NO! At least let me be classier like a wizard or a crusader.]

At this moment, an armoured man draped in blue rushed over.

"Greetings, stranger. I am not surprised to see your kind here. Many adventurers have travelled this way after recent troubles. No doubt you heard about the tragedy that befell the town of Tristram. Some say that Diablo, the Lord of Terror, roams the world again."

The man continued in his stride. Fei's jaw dropped.

As one of the original fans of Diablo II, Fei immediately recognised this man as Warriv, an NPC (Non-playable character) from the 【Rogue Encampment】by his clothes and manner of speech. Every time a new player spawned, he would run to the player with a recognisable golden question mark floating above his head.

Fei studied him while Warriv finished delivering his lines.

Neither actions, nor facial expressions felt like an NPC. If Fei hadn't recognised this man, he would have believed Warriv was a real person. The air he exhaled while talking turned into white fog in this frigid air. Fei even felt the heat from it.

[Do the NPCs in this world have intelligence?]

After Warriv concluded his hefty speech, Fei purposely asked several questions.

"Hey, what's your mother's maiden name? What street do you live on?"

However, Warriv didn't answer him, and walked away instead.

Fei still felt clueless.

After thinking for a while, Fei decided to search for another person - Priestess Akara.

If he remembered correctly, the first quest in Diablo II's first map 【Rogue Encampment】came from her, a high priestess from the sisterhood of the Sightless Eye. Additionally, she was the leader of 【Rogue Encampment】and as such, Fei had to find her if he wanted to know what was going on.
